Another tip I want to add! If you're in the room that can have a rat behind the painted screen across the staircase where there's a second door that leads to a room with shelves and barrels and if Rin goes in the barrel room, because Rin can't open doors in NM she'll get stuck in there for a bit if you close the door until she respawns. She gets stuck in there a lot whether the door is closed or not tbh. 2: And if Rin respawns in her main room (room with the dolls) she can potentially stuck for a very...very...long time especially if she kills someone then spawns there. She won't chase you even if you go in front of her. 3: Some people may know this but if Rin gets stuck on a door, you can run past her because she won't see you nor fix herself, she'll just respawn after

the best solution for phase 3 in the ship part is lighting 4 candles in the boiler rooms and one candle upstairs in the top floor and the candle in the middle floor just for safety and not having to do the unsafe candle in the boiler rooms

I didn’t complete the chapter in nightmare but it did help me a lot I was able go through Rin to The Candles part! Sadly I died when I was at phase 3 and I did this all by myself so this is really helpful! It’s pretty easy (for me) expect the Yoki town, that one almost killed me!

Although I'm watching this video after beating Jealousy Book 2 nightmare several times, I'm sure that this video is a good guide for beginners. I want to add a bit... 1. Rin/Mio Map - When Rin goes to the bell room, teleports from it. She makes a poop sound while teleporting. You may hear the sound in the well and find the perfect timing to ring a bell. - At the start, if Rin is not in the room in front of the book room (two rats spawn room) it means you are safe to go to the well. If you found the rat in the book room or that two rats spawn room, just run to the well and you won't be caught. And be careful - you must run to the right side of the book room, not the left side. - When you are somehow in the book room with an unpoisoned rat and you're afraid to go to the well, wait until Rin goes to the left side of the book room. When she is out of your sight (doesn't matter if you still hear her) run to the well by the right side. - I suggest you open every door just in case Rin chases you. You will survive at certain spots in the room. Rin is faster than your sprint. - When someone with the rat dies during multiplay, the rat re-spawns back to the place where it spawned. - When you are close to the rat, you will hear the sound. While running to the bell, keep hearing the sound. You should memorise all the rooms where the rat can spawn for an easier game. 2. Medusa - There is really a good swag route for it but it might be challenging for beginners and it's hard to explain >< 3. Painting - There will be a short cutscene when you light up all the candles you need to. Although it is very short (just a few seconds), you are stunned for a moment and you can be caught, so...I suggest you to light up the candle if you're sure that she is very far from you. 4. Candle - Tenome is the hardest floor, tho. When you're solo playing, you can only light up the Kishin floor and the first floor until phase 3.

A tip from someone who won, open every door so you can hide when she chases you, and because the rats always spanw at different places.

I don't think it's necessary to open all of the doors, because there's only few rooms which actually 100% stops you from getting chased, and not to mention the rats can be easily found as it has a loud squeaking sound, it's spawn is also not too difficult to search for most of the time. . Pretty good tip for newcomers though. 👌

Mini tip though, If you have bad eye sight or playng on a lower brightness (this is only for pc i'm pretty sure but) in this chapter, if you press i think uh ; or ' on your keyboard it will pop up a mini settings menu and if you go press the "game" option, and then lighting and turn on or off "adaptive lighting" you will see the difference :> (Correct me if I'm wrong, haven't played mimic nor this chapter for months now)

Also another tip I actually found on accident in the paintings map is you can actually glitch through the wood walls in the painting building on the middle floor so if you wanna quickly get to the bottom floor without going to stairs you can just phase through those wood walls! (I did it from right side so I recommend trying it from there)

13:08 Update: I did this with my friend again and we complete it. We only needed to light two candles at tenomes floor. 1 at blobs floor. And 3 at kishins floor. That makes them 6/6 was pretty hard for my friend to do the paintings part alone coz I died to shosai. (I'm nub) and the last part was pretty easy. My friend kept dying on kishins floor though she has 10 lanterns. The second easiest was tenome. She only had to light 2 candles. And the easiest was blobs floor. Kishins floor was hardest. When he went to the Eleovater (srry for my grammer- I am not experienced with English that well.) she light the candle up. Then we did tenomes floor. After that! I got the badge and the lantern 😎😎

If you run right at the start, that's okay but your stamina will run out and not many people will know that using your stamina until it's red will disable you from using it until its fully recharge. Not to mention, you said "waste of time" you still have to stop near the exit to recharge ur stamina, and not many people know how to do so. Either way, both isn't time consuming.

Yes, monsters movement will be the same, however that's only for the ship monsters. Correctly follow the ship route, monster movement almost 100% the same

Recommend doing book 2 on 1-2 players if you're desperate. 3 players above has such a disadvantage. EG: More players can add more candles need to be lighten up in ship area, and paintings area will be more difficult if teamwork coordination is terrible.
