This is- Scarily accurate to how I see/hear most of my hallucinations. They're either static like black apperhrisons or cursed af voices that are muffled and incoherent. I mean, listening to the original Mind Electric already sounds a LOT like what if feels like to have schitzophrina, I feel like they did that due to the electro shock commonly causing hallucinations in hand with Schitzophrina, and it's so fucking bizzar. Also, the line "doctor I can't tell if I'm not me" just hits different.

As a diagnosed schizophrenic, I can say this is oddly very accurate to the experience. Idk how it is for other people, but at least for me, the auditory hallucinations tend to be somewhat similar to the video (incoherient speech, but clearly there). More importantly though, this song is pretty much an accurate representation of what goes on inside my mind during an episode- racing, scattered thoughts, everywhere. Evokes the same emotion I feel during an episode too. This wasn't even a schizophrenia simulation, but (at least from my experience with the illness) it's probably the most accurate simulation of schizophrenia. Enjoyed it a lot, well done

I’m not a diagnosed schizophrenic, but I do have high-functioning autism/ADHD. I remember back in my middle school and high school years I was suffering from severe stress-induced insomnia, and the experience was eerily similar. I was paranoid, saw shadow people out of the corner of my eye, and while I wouldn’t describe them as voices, I had these really loud thoughts that I couldn’t control that were telling me, essentially, to trust no one and that I was worth nothing. I still think about it a lot. I’m doing a lot better now, but when I go out in public, I still sometimes catch glimpses of things that aren’t there. One time I was out taking a walk, and I saw a blurry figure behind me. I quickly did a double-take and it was gone. I notice that the more stress I feel, the more experiences like that happen, so I just use breathing exercises and try to focus on happy thoughts. I come back to this video a lot because it’s cathartic for me. Sorry to info-dump, I’m still working on my people skills. Wishing the best for ya. :)

@@anisomniac5931 naw you're good, my closest friends are autistic so I'm used to the info dump. Most people will go about their lives without having anything similar to schizophrenia, but if you don't get enough sleep you'll have similar symptoms. Intense stress/anxiety/depression ect can cause hallucinations as well, which is why my therapist made sure to be 100% sure that my halluciations/paranoid thoughts were separate from my depression before diagnosing me. I'm glad this video seems to be a good way to cope because that stuff can be terrifying. Glad to see things are getting better in your life and I wish the best for ya too

Music can create such emotions that it gives you physical responses. I’m assuming from what you have said about your heart racing that this song cover made you feel anxious or unsafe in a way. That anxiety can make you feel nausea because the stomach has the second largest amount of nerves. So when you’re seriously in fear, your stomach can feel it too. The heart racing is just another symptom of fear. Its simply a surge of adrenaline that causes it (wether it be from a good experience or a bad experience is completely up to circumstance, and affects wether or not you’ll experience nausea). Hope this helps :3
