But isn't there somewhere in the U.S. that could benefit from being the one who carries out this final refinement of copper? I have no background in these things but I've always been fascinated with technical subjects. Math. Engineering, Mining. Manufacturing. Forging. Metallurgy. I guess this must be the small copper mountain, as it is far away from the famous "Great Copper Mountain" that was in full production for 600 years, before running dry and the operations company diversified to other activities. That mountain also contained some gold and had some foreign involvement in the ownership structure.

They mentioned float collectors in the video. This will be a hydrophobic chemical (think hydrocarbons) that attach to the copper. The air bubbles into the system will catch the float chemicals and take the copper to the surface.

The ball mills are basically a giant rock tumbler. Ore and water are spun in the mills while softball size metal balls crush the ore down to size.

I find it hard to believe the price of Copper would be that low. 175,000 tonnes of copper per annum seems very low to me. Here in the Pilbara Lithium Spodumin sells at $15,000 US a tonne. They produce in the millions of tonnes per annum.
