Yes I teared up as well and prayed with them at the end. I prayed for my unborn grandson that he be healthy and that his mother remain healthy through the birth and afterwards. And that I continue to be a strong and loving Popi (grandfather) to him as I am for his big brother and that I be a good example of a Catholic man and always be there for him if he ever needs me to be. And now my eyes are watering again lol I must have a leak or something lol God bless all of you who read this.

Incredible story of healing! Have seen the ultrasounds of preborn children with similar conditions and there's no mistaking the severity of such a condition with today's advanced technology. So happy for this family and praying they will continue to be blessed!

So, first of all, congratulations to the parents. Glad their baby is doing well. But, this was the most long winded and unconvincing anecdote I've heard in a long time. Its called misdiagnosis, it happens more often than you'd realize, and its not compelling evidence of any kind of miracle. Far more likely that a set in his ways doctor overlooked something, than a cosmic wizard using a prayer to a dead man as a conduit for witchcraft altered time and matter only in your wife's uterus. If you accept this level of evidence as PROOF of miraculous shenanigans, then you should also believe that every religion on earth is true at the same time. How many people have stories identical to this? replace Jesus and a priest with Vishnu and some guru and you'll convince Hindus that a miracle happened. I feel awful having to spoil peoples fun and dash their hope, but this was unbearably lame. The same tired formula. Get better miracles!!! Their better be pillars of fire and splitting oceans when I come back.

What a very polite disagreement. We wish more skeptics were like you. But blame us for a lack of interviewing prowess. To clarify, all the medical records of the case underwent rigorous examination by both Church officials and independent medical experts to rule out a simple misdiagnosis. Scans, levels, readings, etc were all examined over a long period. We failed to get into that aspect in much detail.

​@@frenchmansfury8022 - Sadly, The Vatican doesn't share HIPAA protected medical records with us. Honestly, we doubt The Vatican knows we exist. We just a bunch of grunts. @@CatholicTalkShow guys, I love ya, but I'm compelled to point out some problems here. 1st article: Dr Fred Callahan is not only a catholic, he's a personal friend of the bishop. He was the only medical professional compiling evidence to send to the vatican, and the article states that he wasn't even a neonatal doctor, he's a neurologist who had heard about fetal hydrops a long time ago and had to quote "refamiliarize" on this condition. Do you see how that could raise my eyebrows? 2nd article: does not mention ANY independent investigations. A vatican committee of catholics exercising a process of quote "lobbying" for canonization, is not the impartial, independent investigation I'm looking for. And notably in this article, its admitted that John Paul 2 quote "streamlined" the process and "removed devils advocate". Do you see how all that screams bias? Heres what might get me interested. Have a panel(meaning more than one doctor this time) of neonatal experts review the case without telling them that you think a miracle is involved and get their opinions on what they think happened. Then, have some jewish, atheist, muslim, and Hindu experts play devils advocate and see if they can come up with a more plausible explanation. I know! I'm dying inside to have to be "that guy"😞 everyone wants a christmas miracle i get it, but the truth comes first, and the truth is its just not rational to call this a miracle. Whats more likely? That the laws of physics and logic have been suspended in a manner which you approve, or that you are under a misapprehension? If you're honest, which i believe you guys are, you have to say the latter. Again, have a good Christmas regardless.
