I've already worn this foundation several times and I love it. I'm usually content with my Holy Grail Estee Lauder Double Wear (which has been my favorite foundation for nearly 10 years) but I was waiting for your review because you are only one of two KZbinrs that I completely trust when reviewing products that might be compatible with my combination/oily skin. And everything you've mentioned is completely spot on. I was definitely shocked that it blurred my pores so effortlessly; and when I accidentally fell asleep with it on and woke up a few hours later, I was completely surprised that it did not transfer or move. It looked absolutely fantastic. ELDW is the only other foundation that has remained completely intact after sleeping. I'm beginning to think ELDW's reign as my HG may finally come to an end. Definitely give it a go. I was a bit hesitant because some of the early reviews mentioned the foundation not being long wearing or breaking up fairly quickly. However, as someone who has combo skin, I've gone through two bottles of the Nars Natural Radiant Foundation and enjoyed it. I figured the Soft Matte should work for me as well. I'm glad I took that chance. I have to agree with Cassie in expressing how I haven't been this excited and impressed by a foundation in a long time. And most importantly, it does not move under my mask -- even after hours of sweating.

My skin is really oily in the tzone and I have mature skin. I love this so much. I wear it everyday even with a mask. I sheer it out with a beauty blender and It’s awesome. I recommend not to set it with powder even if you’re really oily. Try to powder only in the tzone. Too much powder with this foundation will dry out your skin and make it even more oily. As a result your skin will look extra oily at the end of the day and the foundation won’t wear well. Also apply one bit at a time and blend it before moving to another area. It dries really fast.

I just bought this and am also so impressed! I had seen VERY mixed reviews - some saying it’s the best and others saying they cannot believe NARS made something so bad. I wonder what it is the that makes it work so well for some people and bad for others. I would have guessed oiliness but o watched another KZbinr who had been on roaccutane and had very dry and dehydrated skin and also loved it.

When I find my “holy grail” products, I always buy a few more just in case they end up changing the formula for some stupid reason or discontinue it.... I doubt they will with this, but who knows. So happy you found something that makes you feel amazing Cassie!

This foundation has become my second holy grail foundation. First one is Estée Lauder DW and this is has beaten out all the others I own, which I have a ton that I do like. I can wear it for soooo long and still looks amazing on my incredibly oily skin.

I literally just do 3 teeny tiny dots in total on cheeks and forehead and that is it. I love this foundation sooo much and i have dry skin but with my purito spf it helped a lot not making it too matte on my dry skin. Just absolutely love this foundation.

I tried a foundation sample this week that impressed me greatly too; it was my very first Lancome product; I was so impressed, that I went out, and picked up the Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear foundation very soon after sampling it! I was also thrilled to discover that I was able to redeem points from my drugstore card so, this time, my foundation purchase was free (except for the taxes)! Here's hoping that our new foundations continue to work out well for both of us! Thanks for sharing your fabulous review results, missie! Thinking that this seems like maybe one of your top 3 best foundation reviews got me thinking, I'd be interested to see some all-time faves videos - foundations, lip products, mascaras, etc. You could break them down as much as you wanted (e.g., drugstore vs. high-end, liquid lipstick vs. bullets vs. glosses, eyeshadow palettes in neutrals vs. colors)...
