Rules for playing solo/With randoms: 1. Let everyone touch the ball early in the game. If you are the inbounder and you have two guards in your backcourt after each bucket, rotate who you give the ball to. Don't let the same person control the flow of the offense every possession unless they are the only Guard or nobody else wants to take the ball up. 2. Feed your big man early. Not every big man is skilled and maybe they are a defensive build, but let them touch the ball and work in the paint and not feel like they are just a rebounder. 3. Everytime you touch the ball on a possession that doesn't mean you have to predetermine you're shooting. Drive to kick out sometimes, or post up 2 kick to a shooter. 4. If someone has takeover, GET THEM THE BALL! 5. Figure out who your best player(s) is, or who has a mismatch. Is there a PF on a SG who clearly can't keep up on defense in space? Is there a small defending your big in the paint? Do you have a 95 overall guarded by a 79 overall? If you have a mismatch try to allow them to exploit it and not ignore that matchup all game.
