My friend’s mother grew up in Ireland during the troubles. She was psychologically damaged from that and never recovered… It damn near destroyed her quality of life and her family as an adult.

Hello to all on this outstanding channel these documentaries are absolutely absorbing Northern Ireland and it's people are truly passionate and loyal people you love your homeland and thank God now at Peace You don't know how brave and courageous you all are I was a kid growing up in the 70s and we used to have tea at 6 every night and my mum would always have the news on and nearly every night we would see the Troubles and it was shocking and disturbing it would frighten the life out of me and I used to think how lucky I was living where I lived Because I knew people who joined the Army and were posted to NI They would be shaking with nerves and fear regardless how much physical and psychological training they had taken There was no way I would ever volunteer to go into a reality like that My dad said I should join the army and be a man It's takes more of a man to join the army then patrol the streets of NI You had to be out of your mind how many families on both sides have been through grief and heartache God Bless them all But South Armagh is one place that captured the Attention of the Btistish this was place you should never even dreaming of going to as a Btistish soldier GOD BLESS the People of Northern Ireland ❤

The ghost of Robert Nairac still haunts south Armagh and Ravensdale forest 🥁
@patriciareilly8841 Жыл бұрын
Funny you should say that, I went to Ravensdale Forest in 2018, got out of my car and decided that it wasn't a place for me. The only other place in Ireland that I felt a queer, ill at ease feeling, having travelled 1000's of miles / kms on the island, was the forest that the body of Inga Maria Hauser, German Back-Packer Girl, was found in, not knowing at the time that it was the location she was dumped in after she was brutally murdered. Have psychics ever been utilized to find the missing and murdered in Ireland?

The thing that bothers me most about the troubles is how embittered it's made the people. I sincerely hope that some truth about these disappearances surfaces as the participants grow older. It takes time, but I hope that one day even in my lifetime, that a measure of healing takes place.
