They played this song at my Gramp's funeral in November 2015, but with oboe. He bought me my oboe in 2006 as I left for college and changed my life forever- I wouldn't have been able to continue oboe if he hadn't. Heart wrenching piece. Your version is beautiful.

I played this song on the flute for a friend’s funeral as requested by her last week. I decided to play this song as it is always a spiritual for me. I was asked to play as the casket went down into the ground so I didn’t want to choose a song that was too emotional but a song that made me and hopefully others feel like we transcended to eternity. Omg, I've never heard that instrument before. You play it so beautifully, and years I could feel the tears starting.
