For my 8th grade graduation my grandpa took me to see the Piano Guys. When he heard this song he fell in love with it. Six months after we went he died unexpectedly. This song was played at his funeral. Thank you so much for giving him the joy of hearing this song.

He made you feel so loved and appreciated, as much as anyone i knew. He was a wonderful man. Miss you so much grandpa.

I’m battling severe pain which often causes restless leg syndrome for me, which makes the pain worse! I was trying to find some music to help bring me peace, calm my legs down, and let me sleep. I have found cello music can help. This is so beautiful, it brought me peace and changed my tears into ones of gratitude and peace! Thank you, Piano Guys, for using your talents to bless others. Thank you for using your talents to bless me tonight!

I work at the oldest university in Brazil as a researcher and professor and play "Gabriel's Oboe" with the flute to my students, just before their exams. They are so touched by God's presence... you can feel it in the large room, filled with 100 students. Some cry. It is amazing! This song truly comes from heaven... And "How great Thou are" is also one of my favorites. It was played by my father at the piano on my wedding (now just 25 years ago...) The combination is awesome!! And of course, no better place than our wonderful waterfalls to perform both... Thank you so much!!! God bless you ever and ever, dear friends!

I took my 82yo mom to Tanglewood Friday to see the Guys and they sure didn't disappoint. It was my first time there and her first time since she was a teen. I was delighted by their playfulness, impressed by their talent and touched by their commitment to God and family. The highlight of the evening for me was when they played The Mission/How Great Thou Art. My father passed away in May at 85yo. My parents had been married for 63 years in April. How Great Thou Art was his favorite hymn and the only one he specifically requested be played at his funeral. When the Guys played it I wept. Thank you for a wonderful evening of memories, new and old.

We decided to play this piece at my great grandmother's funeral. She lived for 107 years and watched our civilization evolve in front of her eyes. She married a Japanese doctor and has lived a wonderful life. At 100 years old, she took great care of her skin, walked around the house every day, talked normally, and had great memory. She past away in her sleep on Oct. 5th, 2018. Great Grandmother, we love you.

the piano guys rise to fame is only a clear indication that many people still appreciate good & substantial music, music that has quality & not mere noise, shouting or rhythm. the longing for truth & beauty is at the heart of each person, and this is clearly seen in one's desire to hear good & substantial music.
@ArmisXDD8 жыл бұрын
That was probably one of the best statements I've ever heard when it comes to music and I definitely agree with it. When it comes to music, I listen to what I enjoy. I'll listen to some of the noise and rhythm music but what gets me the most is the music with heart. Music that isn't screaming at you or telling you how to dance to it, but music that feels nice. It's sad to see that this type of music isn't getting as much attention as it should and is just being pushed away for, what I consider, garbage. But, it's nice to see that music with heart can still be found. EDIT: I just want to say that music with heart comes in many different things, beauty, happiness, hatred, sadness, I would consider music that can make you feel some sort of genuine emotion as music with heart. A great example would be a song in Avatar The Last Airbender. During the episode "The Tales of Ba Sing Se" when it is Iroh's story, he sings a song that can make you cry. You can feel the emotion from that song. I would consider that as music with heart.

I was born only a few miles away from those falls, on the border between Brazil and Argentina. I still remember when the movie was being shot, back in 1981 or 1982, I was almost 20 years old. Later on I watched the movie in the theater when it came out. The Jesuit Gabriel, played by Jeremy Irons, pulled out his oboe and started playing it to befriend the indians they met in the forest, to show they were not a threat to them. The leader took his oboe and broke it, but he picked up the pieces although it was definitely damaged. It was the first time I heard that music, and never forgot it. What a great movie and what a great music. The whole soundtrack is excellent. Ennio Morricone was one great composer of our time.

O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder Consider all the works thy hands have made, I see the stars, I hear the mighty thunder Thy power throughout the universe displayed. Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee: How great thou art! How great thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee: How great thou art! How great thou art! When through the woods and forest glades I wander And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees, When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee: How great thou art! How great thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee: How great thou art! How great thou art! And when I think that God, His Son not sparing, Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin. Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee: How great thou art! How great thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee: How great thou art! How great thou art! When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart! Then shall I bow in humble adoration, And there proclaim, "My God, how great thou art!" My brother was an Aston Villa supporter and the club out on a nice respectful service for fans, staff and players and others associated with the club. He was not a member of the church so later that year I did the work for him in the Temple. It was very comforting.

"The mission" música de Ennio Morricone, uno de los mejores temas que compuso, corresponde al año 1986, el tema se llama "Falls" (Cascadas) y ganó el Globo de Oro al mejor soundtrack de ese año. Hermosa interpretación de "The piano guys" y bellísimo video.

Thank you so much for the incredible impack on the LDS community, music truly is a language that everyone speaks, and never stop making a difference.

Do they really make such a difference for the LDS community? This is an honest question :)

Olivier Legendre yes they do because they are building bridges with people and cultures who don't believe Mormons are Christian and showing Mormons it's ok to show the world we are amazing, talented, knowledgeable, kind, passionate, loving, committed to living Christ like. Their music heals the soul whether Mormon or not and they are helping bridge the gap between people, religion, and culture using their God given talents. I love that they show the world what Mormons are about same as Lindsey Stirling, Alex Boyé, Imagine Dragons (Dan Reynolds & Wayne Sermon), and so many more than I have time to type. 😊

be careful how you list all our amazing qualities😀 don't make it sound like we're better than any of God's other children.

Well, since Mormonism is an infinitely polytheistic religion (you believe in a cyclical procession of gods and that you can be come a god of your own planet), Islam is closer to Christianity because both religions believe in only one god. So, the only thing that remotely makes Mormonism a Christian religion is the fact that you believe in Jesus but also add that he made appearances in America. Also, as for the part about becoming a god of your own planet, Satan wanted God's power and he was cast to hell because of it (and no, it wasn't because Satan didn't follow the right steps to become a god).
