For those having problems with box missions, I have something you can try. I am in no way saying it will give you 100% success rate, but especially the ones where you place the box on the shelf... Instead of trying to place it by hand, get out your multi-tool and rotate the box around until the yellow drop area turns green, then set it down. Took me a good 20 minutes of screwing with it on a particular mission to get it done, but it finally worked.

I love throwing in a box mission every now and then. It's relaxing and you see some nice vistas. And not to forget that it might even motivates you to fly the ships you usually simply don't use. I love to use the Nomad for those. Slapping the boxes on the back is just so easy and quick.

The trick with refueling is to fly as low as possible at max speed in atmo, usually it is where the ship burns during reentry. You don't want the atmosphere to slow you down but you also want to scoop something.

Theres another delivery mission, its a bit dangerous but it's an amazing mission given the different locations and rare loot... Its called the Op Retrieval 10k (not 12k) in Hurston, if youre lucky and get the order drop it off at Hurston Gate Its better than the station

Box missions are the best! Its what got me hooked too. It gets you to explore and relax at the same time. Its so therapeutic

People sleep on box missions. I still suggest these as some of the better ways to make money. Most people fall into the trap of "what makes the most money quickest" but a long time ago CIG stated that Box missions are effectively the "baseline" for how much money we should expect to be getting from missions. (since other missions and careers are inflated to incentivize testing.) Not to mention, Box missions really stock you up after a new wipe (not that we have had one in a while), they offer a ton of new weapons and armor for you to scoop up, the prized Pico ball and party pico, and many more. They are also a really great way to just chill and play without needing to worry too much about anything. The wayward griefer might be the only risk, but without cargo and no need for combat, these are some of the most relaxing missions in game. Not to mention, they are the closest thing we have to TRUE cargo missions, as Commodity trading is not cargo. Thanks for making a video about a great loop that is often overlooked.

Wow, I'm surprised you were able to actually complete the mission. I've tried doing the 5 box delivery missions a few times, and have yet to complete it even once. There's ALWAYS at least one box that bugs out for me and makes the mission undoable. My latest attempt was last week and one of the boxes would not show as being delivered even though I was placing it in its destination spot. The objectives showed it was placed correctly, but the mission was not acknowledging it and thus not finishing. I personally keep it to 3 boxes or less to avoid the likelihood of bugged boxes screwing me over.

I had the 5 box error last week. 4/5 parcels delivered without hitch. The final parcel I had to place on a shelf. It refused to acknowledge as completed. As a result I lost that contract. 😢

Just luck I think, I used to get a lot of crashes when I first started play I g, then in 3.18 they was really bugged. So I thought I would give it a go, I find if you have to get them from a vending machine is generally when it messes up and that generally is always ones that are at the same location

I've been playing for over four years and I still very regularly do box missions, I just keep getting drawn back to them. They're the first thing I test every patch as well. The problem with them is because they touch so many different aspects of the game, they have a huge chance to bug out.

I've always enjoyed box missions. A relaxing way to spend some time in the verse and stock up on bottles of Cruz from loot boxes! I never bother with anything more than the single box deliveries now though as the chances of things bugging out on multiple box missions (especially 4 or 5 boxes) is just too high. I know most folk are excited by the massively increased player counts brought by server meshing but I'm just hoping it makes all missions just work. Bugged missions are my biggest issue with the game and unless they properly get it sorted SC is dead in the water as an mmo.

When I first started, box missions was bad and if it crashed you lost it, then in 3.18 they were terrible, boxes not showing up at locations, this is the first time since, that I have tried them

I like to do multiple misions at once so that you can do multiple tasks in the sams area.

Yes it is annoying having to do it multiple times, and that would be awesome in the jump town events, like that guy who has to get all the shopping from the car in one trip....

Box missions and the zeta prolanide missions are the missions that make me consider quitting because ive never been able to complete them. Ive given up trying. Too bugged. Ive only tried maybe 4-5 times on boxes, and 3 times on zeta, but thats too many times for me

i like box missions, but they pay so damn little money for the time! Even with high rep and 12k missions you need to transport like up to 8 boxes all to different places, it just takes years to finish a single one

Yes they are not massively profitable at the start, I think as you get your rep up you come to 45k missions in bunkers

I do not understand WHY you keep the Quantum Drive spooled up, you don't need it because of the mission markers, and it's always advisable to switch engines off once landed.

Habit at this point, my normal runni g is rg missions so I have come to the habit of keeping it on, I do remember sometimes same as shutting engines of and closing the door behind me, as you see with my package growing lefs and running off lol

Made several attempts to get back into the game. Unfortunately the same persistent problems that have come up after the 3.22 patch went live are still a constant game ending issues. Hangers, elevators, missions not complete or not available. Lag spikes that end with ships blowing up or getting dropped through surfaces, NPCs never being there or not spawning for whatever new reason they come up with. I understand everyone is sooooo excited for the new shiny of content CIG talks about. But I still can't recommend anyone putting effort into this alpha. It simple does not warrant the time. Hope it works for the content creators, but it seems wrong to advance this as a functional game. Even as an alpha, this just isn't improving, just hype that never actually materializes.

That sucks that you are having the issues, what is your ram? I think I have asked you this before. I find when people have low ram they get those issues more. Hopefully things become more stable soon for you

@@NoobsGamingSC No, however it is the same drive I have had the game on since 3.18 I am looking at a new computer this year and maybe I will be able to get the game somewhat functional again, or at least to a degree the alpha is capable of functioning. Until then me and those I game with have moved on to other games as they also have found the current build not viable for their recreational gaming time. Those that have gotten in to try out the 'new' xenothreat missions have found them also to be constantly bugged to the point they have to find work arounds over multiple game sessions just to get the missions to complete. Its alpha, I know, so if no other games release first that cover all the MMO open world space exploration genre for me I'll check back in with the development CIG makes later.
