I loved everything about this video! Montana is one of my favorite states to explore. That playground equipment is something. Thanks for sharing!!

Hello, Keith and Teena. Another beautiful video, dear friends. And indeed words cannot describe the beauty of this area, it is so beautiful. Your photos are also very good and beautiful. Teena is also doing her bit with the photo camera. But she does have her own way of taking photos and I think that is beautiful to see. I really enjoyed it again. Thank you, dear friends. Antoine.

Thank you Antoine! I’m glad to see your comment made it! I saw your email as well. Indeed Teena is beginning to find her own vision as a photographer and just bought her own camera last week. She will enjoy it!

They don't call it Big Sky Country for nothing. I love those skies that just fade into the horizon as far as the eye can see.

OMG, what an incredible landscape! Question: Were you carrying additional gasoline in containers and a full size spare tire? One of my HS friends moved to Montana back in the 1980s with his brother. He came back to PA to attend law school then got a job as lawyer. He lasted about a year and went right back to Montana. Now, I know why!! That GFX is a landscape monster isn't it? Beautifully detailed images. Speaking of the Hasselblad, I watch a couple Thomas Heaton videos where he's been using the new Hasselblad X2D 100S I believe. Crazy expensive, but amazing images. That first image by Teena of the two trees positioned to the left in that vast grassy field is a really interesting composition. I like it! Really loved this video, thanks for taking us along!!

Yeah the Fuji makes magnificent files but my particular camera is a bit flaky! Not sure if it’s just mine but I always keep the Sony nearby in case I need backup. The Fuji and the Hasselblad X1D I bought used. Would love an X2D but too spend for my budget! Montana and the whole mountain west has to be seen to be believed really!

wow absolutely gorgeous, the location and your photographs. It's not the same but it reminds me Arizona and Texas. Your videos remind me my ride on the route 66 in 2011. By the way I received my Deardorff 8x10 (ca 1923) from someone in Pennsylvania. I wanted specially a camera from your country.

Thanks so much! This was a long awaited journey for us! I’ll bet that Deardoff is very special! Nice hearing from you!

Hi Keith, i done much of this solo back in 2015 and i found the isolation humbling and deeply touching. What is the camera of choice for Teena? I just love grain elevators we have nothing like them here.
@KeithdotsonАй бұрын
Thanks Rick! I agree the isolation is a powerful factor! I was joking around with Teena that the government buried the ICBMs out here bc if the Russians dropped nukes out there it wouldn’t matter! Teena has been practicing on my old Canon 5DMKIII but after the trip she got a Sony A6700 and a versatile lens. She’s really enjoying learning the camera and is beginning to develop her own interests in subjects. I think she is really leaning toward portraits more! And she’s fascinated by street photography
