My family and I go to Cannon Beach a couple times a year. We love it.

Hi, Keith and Teena. What an atmosphere there on that beach. The black and white flower photos are gorgeous with a lot of detail in them. That stump on the beach is lovely. I could spend half a day on that with my macro lens. What a beautiful detail in that stump. The lines that run through the stroke are also beautiful. That rock in the mist gives a very special feeling. The wreck on the beach is also such a photogenic object, just like the stump on the previous beach. Another object that I would spend a long time on. Those panoramas are also very beautiful and well done. When Teena takes photos, she does so by looking at the focus, this is something I will never master. I prefer to work through the viewfinder. I think that driftwood is so beautiful to photograph. The shapes and structure are really beautiful in this wood. At that last beach, the weather conditions were much better than at the previous ones, but the feeling of the beaches in the mist was great. I thought of you when I was looking at those driftwoods! Teena likes the viewfinder too and I do too but that tiny Sony only has a back LCD. When we got home she decided to buy herself a proper camera and she’s getting to know it now!

The Pacific northwest coastline is beautiful. We had the opportunity to visit Washington last year and really enjoyed it. I hope the rest of your trip is equally enjoyable. Stay safe you two...

Back in November of 1992 I made the trip from southwest Washington to Santa Barbara, California on US 101. Even though it was a (very!) fast trip and a long time ago, I still remember it and have always wanted to do it again. Unfortunately, I never have. So this video is a real treat! Thank you for taking us along! I hope both of you are doing well; take care and stay safe! (I also love the patterns and textures of weathered wood.)

It was great to see you got over to my stomping grounds, I’m located just about an hour and a half from the central Oregon Coast. Your stop at Battle Rock brought back memories, that was the location of my first published photo in a small magazine called Oregon Coast Magazine many years ago. Thanks for sharing your trip and wonderful photos Keith, it reminds me I should get over to the Oregon Coast for some imaging making more often. It’s funny how we can sometimes take for granted what’s in our own backyard.

Astoria! Our best friends from Ogden Utah live there now! They took us to the Peter Iredale Shipwreck on a windy afternoon, got some decent shots! Can't wait to go back and see the coast. Our trip got cut short so I never saw Canon Beach or ANY of the rest of the coast. This was a great video!

Hello Keith and Teena, Great video. I too was inspired to grab my pair of vintage Leicaflex SL cameras and just head out, but the rain and wind was too heavy to head out. There's always a next time, once the weather improves.
