It's been 5 years to the day that Brett Deutsch set the track record of 8.47@165mph at Byron Dragway's October Diesel Drags Event in his triple turbo duramax powered '69 C10 Chevy Pickup. Unfortunately the day ended with a fuel line fire destroying much of his pristine show quality pickup. • FUEL FIRE! TRIPLE TURB... the next 4 years Brett totally rebuilt the truck (3800lb with driver) once again bringing it back to show quality. This time he went with a single turbo Wagler Competition engine built by Matt Hatfield of Danville performance. The stock concrete filled duramax block features forged internals, Wagler solid aluminum heads, 102m precision pro stock turbo with an Exergy Performance fuel system tuned by Danville performance. The power is handled through a Rossler TH 400 with a Neal Chance lock up converter and a 11" Mark Williams rearend with a 3.21 gear. Pushing 2200 hp with 90lbs of boost and 4 stages of nitrous adding an additional 800hp Brett shatters the world record with a 7.28@175mph! According to Mark Broviak, who tunes this duramax the data shows Brett let off at 6.5 seconds into the run at 182mph while coasting to the 7.28@175mph with a solid 1.43 seconds during the run where it was defueled hard (40-80mg pulled out of it) because of the egt/limiter that is in place to keep it alive. Needless to say a 6 second pass is well within reach! Brett would like to thanks all his sponsors including Mayeda Motorsports who supply all his DJ safety gear. He would also like to thank his crew members Mark and Kyler Broviak, Chuck Deutsch, his father Don plus track owner BJ Vangsness ,track manager Randy Simpson and the Byron track personnel. #worldsquickest #duramax #prostock
