The husband wasn't necessarily ever going to divorce his first wife. But, she got to where the blinders she had worn were no longer working. She had to look at her life more than what he was doing, and awhile after having seen her predicament and witnessing the cheating several times she realized she wanted out of the marriage. She wasn't angry or sad or vengeful. He refused until he thought about 'her,' that she was done and deserved a better life than he was giving and that he wasn't good enough for her. She affiliates with them because she had talked to the mistress conveying how she wanted to be free, that he should be with mistress, and asked mistress to explain to him that he should let her go. When mistress went to do this he had already come to same conclusion about his wife's needs. So, they amicably divorced. The ex left the marriage, not him. Why should she avoid them when she doesn't care? And, she is a builder for the best life possible for her children, no matter their age. If bringing her ex and his wife together with them can mend the brokenness his cheating caused - she's game. He is their father and will be the grandfather of their children. I like her. I treat the exes of my male relatives with the same love as always and in the presence of the new wives - who I also love on. These exes are the mothers of 'my' children (they have my blood) and I wouldn't dare do anything to disparage them by acting like a fool and being childish. Grown folk ought to be grown is my stance. 'My' kids are stable so all involved are cool. Nothing beats a good example of choosing need for surgery over a bandaid - or worse, leaving sore to fester. I see this ex's point and agree with her about stabilizing an 'ouch, that hurts.' Mannnn...hate is poisonous, a metastasizing toxin. unh unh. Also, no matter how wicked a mistress came about getting the husband - she will inherit insecurity from guilt of this graduation. Her hangup has to do with getting to see another side of this man, how he has always been at that home with those people - rather than what she knows about the amorous him in the the back booth in the corner in the dark. It is not the ex's problem to feel guilty about in connecting with her. Just thoughts... .

Y es tal su egoismo y falta absoluta de conciencia, que se irrita ante una posible traicion, se irrita ante la bondad ajena, se irrita cuando no se siente centro. Estaba dispuesto a sustentar su matrimonio y vivir un amor clandestino hasta el final de sus vidas, en la intencion de proteger a sus hijos y esposa (mas o menos clandestino porque Susan tenia entrada y salida en esa familia), sin percibir que el tenia doble vida, sus hijos tenian sus vidas y la esposa no tenia ninguna. La dignidad no tiene precio. Y la presrncia del pretendiente de la exesposa, deberia hacerlo pensar. Al final ese hombre se interesa por una mujer divorciada, que vive eternamente con sus hijos que no terminan de crecer, que cuida de una exsuegra, que esta yendo hacia la mediana edad, que no es una belleza ni una mujer rica o exitosa, y aun asi el la ve. Que es lo que el esposo no ve y ve en la amante, ademas de juventud, y desempeño laboral? El esposo no la ve, la ningunea y rotuliza. Y yo espero que por lo menos de esta vez el final cuide de esa esposa. De su dignidad, de su inteligencia, de su amor propio. Por que siempre perdonar? Nadi se da cuenta que este hombre lleva años en la cama de otra mujer? Aunque se arrepienta, mude sus sentimientos, pida person, es posible no tener eso en cuenta? Yo no podria borrar de mi cabeza la idea de ellos en una cama, y durante años. final,

This is ridiculous writing, why would an ex wife keep her ex husband and the woman he abandoned her for in her close circle of friends and family, her children are grown so she doesn’t have small children that need to visit their Dad so there is no reason at all for her to ever see them, it makes her look like a silly weak push over. LOL....when you marry a mistress....she becomes a wife and her "shine" in the excitement of sneaking around, and romantic getaways......all go away and she is now, just a wife. Having children anchor a woman into that "wife role". If he wanted a wife, he would not have bothered with a mistress but he wanted both. So now he will go get a "new mistress".....and so the cycle begins again.
