True, but a lot of people take a pass because it’s “what’s expected” out of Nike despite their continued abuse of inconsistent product. People can very well phone or email Nike to raise concerns about their products but not enough people are willing to do it. We pay for nostalgia. I think a piece of that $210+ should factor in on quality product.

Mine were made in the VW1 factory and they are almost perfect. Elephant print is very good but height from the elephant print in the toe boxes is different. Right pair is a little bit higher than the left one 👀

Mine came from VW1 fact😮and same! Damn near perfect! Elephant print thick and pronounced. One of the best pair I’ve seen. I’m thankful! Only thing is mine didn’t come with a size sticker on the insole .. did yours have the sticker? Either way enjoy your pair bro

According to people most retail pairs say LN3 but the ones shipping from Goat are VW1. What is the reason for this?

I got EA for these and my pair was good. Elephant print was the bolder more defined print and they matched on both shoes. I also got nice tumbled leather on both shoes. Only quality issue I had was there was some glue marks on the letter “A” in AIR on the left shoe which I was able to get off. I also switched that plastic for a chain on the key tag. Totally satisfied with my pair.

For me it’s an issue partly because of the price. I have to always hope that my left shoe is going to look like my right one And when that’s not the case it makes me feel just a little weird about wearing them. To the average person (95% of people you come in contact with in public) who doesn’t really know about Jordan Brand QC they may think you’re wearing fake Js but you just spent 200 on them and know they’re legit. That’s what’s frustrating to me

You and I talked about this a few days ago. My opinion on the plastic instead of chain on the hangtag was because that’s how they came in 1988, the no QC sticker, also they didn’t do those back then, maybe that’s their way of giving us the “reimagined throwback” versions of these. I have two pairs now and one matched and the other pair don’t match at all. But this is my all time favorite Jordan so I’ll take it! 🤷🏻‍♂️

I got mine from the SNKRS app and the print on my pair doesn’t match. It’s not too bad, but I was expecting a perfect pair. If it was done internationally, why did some receive shoes with no flaws and other didn’t. QC needs to step it up. This is a classic shoe and we deserve better.

Mine is from "VM1" factory in Vietnam. It has a thin elephant print, I love the pair. Glue stains are some of the issues but i dont mind.

your comment on the sizing crushed me i usually size down to size 8.5 which worked perfect on the cool grey and unite 3s, but on the fire red 3s i had to sell them the size.8.5 destroyed my feet,animal insticnt 3s also gave me that slip and slide feeling you were talking about when i went size 9 you should really be able to try them things on

Wow they even did the vintage size sizing! Back in the day Nike and most sneakers were up half a size!! Now today a size 10 was a 9half in 88. Definitely cool. They also have a lot more room in the 2019 infrared 6s! I wear a size 10 but a 9half in 6s!

QC on mine was fine..Cement 3 is my favourite sneaker ever and this my first pair since 2003. I wish they didn’t come with the aged look especially cuz we haven’t had this release since 2013.. the aged look is a fad and I’d rather it look just like what someone buying a fresh pair in 1988

Isn’t the elephant print cut from a huge sheet of leather that is completely randomized? Or is that process different? Because I could see where some cuts have a “darker” print and then just next to it is a “lighter” print. Just like you mentioned, the original 88 pairs had variations too, right? Were they as big as this is or was it a small difference?

Big fan here. So i actually got the lost and found 1s from the exclusive access, and i did a check for myself cuz it's for a co worker of mine. There was no glue stains, no stitching inconsistencies, no leather texture difference, i would say i had the best luck for quality control. So it's just good luck, and like you said it can also be the factory it was made from is likely to do better.

I also have an LN4 pair that I picked up Saturday. Elephant print is lighter and thinner particularly on the lateral side of the left shoe but unless you’re looking super close it’s basically identical in terms of shade and thickness. Interested to see what my snkrs pair looks like when it comes in.

Just got 2 pairs in and my box and the small QC (3) and QC (2) sticker on the inside of the box on both of my instore raffle win pairs. My pair look straight. The elephant around the toe box are the same width, both toe box and shoe are pebbled all around, no major glue issues. And the overall shape on the toe looks great. Dates on my pair are from 5/24-9/14 and 6/22-10/7 from the Indonesia factory 2. Noticing the different indentation difference on the back heel elephant print. Noticable but not a deal breaker honestly for ME. I prefer the smaller lines in the elephant over the huge darkened ones. It looks and feels better and true to OG than the dark and deep elephant print be been gettin for years.

I got mine on a steal below SRP but it’s been used twice. The elephant print doesn’t match because mine is asymmetrical from the left and right pair. The elephant print on the other pair is complex on the toe and a little bit lacking on the heel and vice versa on the other pair but oppositely. It doesn’t bother me since I got it on a good price.

Yoooooo, OK, I get it now! Think about this, It’s supposed to be an old shoe... One of the shoes gets exposed from being open, which causes discoloration on one of the shoes..! One of the shoes print could’ve shrunk in that time period. I have 1 pair and 2 on the way. My first pair is flawless. Just got them today!

The new tooling actually fits me perfectly, the older tooling always fit me a little too snug and I wear a 10 in all Jordans so far. I believe they tweaked it a bit around the black cement release cuz those fit snug but ok and everything after that was ok, the true blue 3’s in a size 10 were way too snug. This newer tooling feels perfect though for me.

Marv should get an Odour Eater insole, the work boot varient, their durable, very thick and spongy, cut it to size, lay them down on top of the original insoles, and they not only protect the original insoles and branding and make the shoe twice as comfortable, but also keep the pair fresher and will reduce the size down by half a size for a more snug fit. There only about 6 quid and much better than double socking, especially in hotter climates. * that intro was entertainment for me 😆

Yeah, I could do that, but a double sockliner might make it even worse while one layer is gliding over the other. I’d rather just remove the original insole and replace it with a thicker insole.

I get lucky with my cops. My L&F 1s and these were perfect. What's funny to me is they made the midsole yellowed but it's the front part, the rubber part that yellows. The "yellowed" painted area on these won't further yellow in time. They'll just crack.

The elephant print is designed like this, as if they were in a store window and were in the sun for a long time and it had damaged them, lightening the color of it. Midsole the same. Plastic tag like the oldest releases. Big regards from the coast of death

Got mine in from the EA drop and was not really all that happy. The EP colors are slightly different but that doesn’t really bug me. The EP cut on the left shoe (toe) is bad. Not only is it high like pre 2022 bad, but it’s uneven altogether. Hoping I can secure a second pair.
