That match is bad! But there might be a degree of correction for the talent in the ring, like grading on a curve, for a match between someone who was never a wrestler and someone who was predominantly a non-wrestling wrestling talent.

I remember ironically enjoying this match when it aired, gave me a good laugh when it happened. Damien Priest shooting the arrow to reveal the Army of the Dead logo as Miz was being eaten by zombies was the cherry on top for me

It’s a shame of all the matches for The Miz to get injured in, it had to be the crappy zombie match. 15 years straight in WWE without an injury (he suffered a concussion at WM 27 but it didn’t take him off TV). And the streak had to end in the stupid zombie match.

Never seen this match....still wish I never seen this match. Great episode nonetheless. Should put Bayley v. Alexa Bliss Kendo Stick on a Pole Match from WWE Extreme Rules 2017 as a choice. That's an example of how to completely destroy a character in 10ish minutes.

A little thought could have gone a long way…. Fewer zombies running free could have been fun. Avoid the zombies while running the match. Involve zombies in big spots. Then have all wrestlers & ref having to join forces & execute the zombies in some fashion…. Could have been one of those random great camp matches…

Loved your reactions to this match guys 😄 I honestly got a laugh out of it. I didn't see the match itself until I'd bought the dvd months later...which is weird because I had the network at the time (still do, but I don't use it that often outside of pay-per-views I want to watch like the last 2 we've just had)...but I just remember finding an ironic bit of humor from the match when I first watched it, simply because of how stupid it was. I got more of a laugh now though seeing you picking out and spotting current NXT wrestlers disguised as zombies.

Love the new show. I can't wait for next week. The thing that makes the zombies match so bad for me is the fact that WWE has no idea how to do product placement. It's so overt, hammy, and in your face that the product distraction becomes annoying (see also Mtn Dew Pitch Black Match and the Survivor Series Pizza Hut battle royale). You know who did good product placement? The original run of Charmed, from 1998-2006. Every season was sponsored in part by Jeep and one of their cars appeared nearly every week, but the show didn't stop the plot for an ad.

If Heroes of Wrestling isn't in that box, it needs to go in there now. "Which match from that show though?"...Yes. Just...yes (only TWO of the matches on that show had positive ratings, the highest of which was one and a quarter stars). To pick specific matches though, Bushwhackers VS Sheik & Volkoff, Abdullah VS One Man Gang, and Neidhart & Bundy VS Yokozuna & Jake Roberts are low-lights (though that last one is more of a Sad Bad match as opposed to funny, though I guess it could fit if Sting/Hardy is in the box as well)
