Thanks for the video, due to the cutout in the midfoot area, I wonder how it will play with the pronation commonly noticed at the end of a long run or a marathon race.

happy new year and speedy recovery. I think the doctors of running mentioned that heelstriking works but you are transitioned very quickly. Exciting shoe, I have a fresh Vaporfly for Paris but for autumn this may be a candidate.

Happy New Year Phil! Vaporfly in Paris sounds like a good "classic" choice. Any specific goal you have for that race?

@@AlexFilitti goals are to get there, finish and certainly improve on the 2022 time where injury prevented serious running for a good chunk of the year, and getting a PB would of course be nice as well.

I just got these today and did a 7K run to test them out. As a mid striker, I had to make a small adjustment, but once I did that, they took 20+ seconds off my pe ram time. A great shoe.

You're right, the key is a pleasant race profile. Nice design, even more interesting than Craft" CTM Ultra Carbon. It's a pity that such a large-scale company さま Mizuno fell under China. However, will the pitted notch in midsole create a loud stomp? And do we need a carbon plate in back of the foot that makes shoes unstable on turns and bumps?

I actually use the original wave rebellion as a tempo shoe (and also intervals) , For me as a 90kg runner it rides a lot like the original the Nike zoomfly2 (a bit harsh but when you step on the gas .. it shifts). So glad I had it at the back of the garage it was a good replacement when my speed 2's died (speed 3 is not a tempo/interval shoe in my book) anyhow .. back on point. I myself was lucky enough to try these for 5 minutes at a running show recently , and I will agree .. for me the sweet spot started at about 8:15 - 7:50minute miles , and I am not quick enough to take it beyond 6:50 without raising lactate too high...so I kept in the zone. My question is (and it is a €250 question so important) will it maintain this comfortably past 32k when the body starts to slump.

I understand that Mizuno is probably very proud of their Wave plate technology and all, but I find it really surprising that they didn't go for a carbon fiber plate on their top tier shoe. Stil exited about their Wave Duel Pro, hope that one comes to Europe this year.

A racing shoe for heel (rear) striker... 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I can not use my Alphafly V1 because I have to think about my landing all the time and a day later my calfs are dead.. Is this a solution ❓

Yes, I would say midfoot to heel. But too aggressive heel striking would not work i think. This could be the solution indeed, the other one being the Prime X i would say!

Or you take half a year to fully focus to transition to become perfect mid/forefoot striker. I did, no regrets.

Great question! This compresses more and releases more energy at toe off. Prime X feels a touch more efficient and rolls more gently. Prime X also better at cornering (never thought i'd write this ;-)

How does it feel cornering? That mid foot has very little foam .

This shoe is a complete no no for me i like to be in charge of the shoe not the shoe in charge of me. Changing your gait is a short cut to getting injured.
