Jon Jones's UFC record is extremely, EXTREMELY OVERRATED! 1.) He got fed a titlefight on a silver platter, after 2 fights in the UFC. (that's why he's the first person to ever bring up title defenses as a sign of greatness) 2.) All his opponents had one foot in the retirement home and were at least a head shorter than Jones. It's like Paddy Pimblet beating Tony fergusson and considering it a huge win. That's Jon Jones for at least 10 UFC fights. 3.) Pre USADA and Post USADA Jones are completely different (like many other UFC fighters) 4.) The moment he started fighting people his size, EVEN OSP in 2016, the wins were lackluster if not disappointing 5.) He at least LOST to Gustafson 1 and Reyes. Some say Santos too but I couldn't see that one. If Anthony Smith stayed down after the illegal knee, Jones would have lost that fight too! Shortly after Jones dipped as he felt his decline. 6.) Only moved to heavyweight YEARS LATER after Ngannou left and Ciryl was the perfectly tailor-made fight for Jones as he had ZERO wrestling.

Volk is arguably the Featherweight Goat and he bulked up for 155 division before the fight. Volk himself said he is even heavier than Lightweight Dan during the fight day. Look what another Featherweight Goat Max Holloway did vs Justin Gaethje at 155 division. And the first time he encounters someone that has any size and skill, he falls. Loses to Reyes, who also had a reach disadvantage, still won. Barely beats an injured middleweight in Santos. These were the real tests, and he would get obliterated by not just the modern heavyweights, but also probably by average modern lightheavyweights like Rakić. Imagine a couple of strong leg kicks from Rakić to Joneses legs? And Pereira and Prochazka probably destroy him too. Aspinall and Pavlovich and Prime Stipe kill him. Jones was simply there at a time when the division was small and not well rounded, and the gameplans were not there, calf kicks were not there, big lightheavyweights were not there. Guy was lucky...and drugged up. People need to know the truth about him and he needs to get humbled by actual real competition. His legacy needs to be destroyed because its a legacy of cheating.

Here's my take -- at some pointt last year Khabib and Dana had a falling out and Dana is taking it out on Makhachev. Notice how you see footage of Khabib talking to Trump at 302 but none of him talking to Dana. Islam asked to fight in Summer of 2023 and Dana told him to sit out until Abu Dhabi. Islam also asked to fight in March of this year but Dana told him there was no opponent available. In this interview, Dana claims Islam hasn't mentioned wanting to fight for the 170 lb belt, yet the UFC offered Islam to fight Leon during Ramadan (knowing he wouldn't take it). Dana can only screw Islam over so much though since he has Saudi and Emirati business partners.
