Woah. I just fell asleep during the playlist. That was fucking insane! I dreamt I got up and walked through the countryside listening to Sleaford Mods to a town that doesn't exist. It occurred to me that the WiFi shouldn't still be working, but I payed no more mind to it, just kept walking. I figured out how to fly just off the ground again, as if I got an invisible chopper under me. Got distracted from that by my long dead dog. I was, like "What you doing out here, jet?" Come on, I'll take you home. Nice to see her again. Very disappointed when I woke up. Mostly because the air was nice and cool in my dream. Now it's fucking sweltering. I don't like it. Reality is shit.

jeff mead some of the lyrics are genuinely random, most are snatched glimpses of English life (from the shittier end of English life), these glimpses are smashed together for form a broad brush impression of life from the UK. A life that the people in power wanted to shut up, keep their heads down and pay their taxes. Example (I'm paraphrasing) - "sad twats at the back giving hand signals two up and coming twats" Ageing football hooligans conducting violence when they no longer up to doing the job themselves. why is that worthy of comment? its sadness layered in sadness, the English disease, when it ha become ill and decrepit. Sad old men who have led sad lives infecting younger men their misery, worthlessness and failure. Lilly Allan - she's not fat, not a bad kid really but her dad is a bbc / media insider, her rise to fame is not matched the effort it took or the talent behind it ;-) The lyrics are an amazing mix of macro and micro, comic and tragic, myopically local and global, deeply personal ("I sat around the house wanking") and societal. It is just undiluted genius, presented as fresh vomit
