Ron, A red LED would be cool in the conning tower. The clear piece might be separated using water. Love the work you’re doing.

Thanks! A red LED in the conning tower is a great idea. I'll look into it. 👍

Ron today we had Spring like weather down here, sunny with temps in the mid 50s Fahrenheit and no snow 😎 unfortunately winter will arrive again tomorrow with rain changing to snow with accumulation of 1-3 inches with colder temps. 🥶

That’s a bummer to hear about the weather change down there. We are still hanging on to winter here. 👍

You can take some of your used coffee grounds and add them to the top of the dirt in the plant, and it will work wonders!

That’s a great idea Jeff! I'll have to try that. 👍

Hi Ron, Glad you managed to gets the bits apart to paint them.... From the guide, the wheel and other parts on the column should be H18 or C28 - Metal Black (Steel)... The closest Tamiya equivalent in actual shade is XF-69 NATO Black, however Tamiya X-10 Gun Metal would probably be a better colour as its a similar shade but with a metallic finish..... See you tomorrow 👍.

Re: *"Tamiya X-10 Gun Metal"* Will check an see if I have that. Thanks Alex! 👍

Ron’ you was lucky, I think as you painted both parts it was not completely melded joint? But pleased for you for the second chance 😊. The pizza looks great, but I would cut the potato off the bottom😂. Happy everything Ron.😊

Good afternoon Paul, Yesterday while I was doing my final edit I was thinking about you and here's what's happened. I accidentally, after I was all finished my final edit, deleted the video files from the folder where I normally put my recently made files. When I went to look at my editing program all I had was red where the files should have been. I felt sick because I realized that in all likelihood the computer had completely deleted everything because the files were so large. But I was lucky! They were in the recycle bin. What a relief! We almost did not have an episode 2217. I must be getting old, ha ha! Anyway the potato in the bottom of the pizza actually tastes pretty good. It just looks terrible. However I won't be doing that again. I was lucky again in that I had glued together a painted surface to a painted surface and yes you are right that's why it came apart so easy. I'm getting an early start here today. Hoping to get something profitable done and not make too many mistakes. I'll be considering using a red light, or maybe two or three, in that conning tower section. We'll see how it goes I have lots of LED's. May as well make use of them. However I don't want the model to end up looking like a Christmas tree with lights all over the place. Enough for now! Oh, by the way, this voice to text makes it so easy to comment back to somebody. But then I start running off at the mouth and don't stop, haha! 😁

Hi Ron, found your channel just before Christmas and finding it extremely interesting. I am amazed how skilled you are at model making. Any chance of including a short clip explaining what the ships in the cabinet are, you mentioned HMS Hood but I would like to see and hear about the others. All the best Mike (Wellington England )
@roncalverley3 күн бұрын
Hi Mike, Thank you so much for tuning into my channel. I have many other viewers in the UK as well and I am so honored. As for doing an elaboration on the ships that are presently in the ship case, I'm sorry but I just don't have time to go through them individually again. However if you start with *"The Model Ship - Part 1"* kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGLQmnR9qbB2g7c eventually you will have seen them all in detail. I realize you most likely don't have time for that. Hope to hear from you again.👍

Hello Ron! Out of the blue question here.. what is the photoetch cutter you use? Knowing you and your tool creativity, you made it. I have watched episodes 1-89 all in a row hoping to catch you reference it or watch you make it. Up until then you are still using a #11 blade. If you ground down a blade what did you start with? Thanks in advance, I have enjoyed watching your channel daily for the couple years!
