I love the mocha, onyx and navy dresses best. They follow the five art principles laid down by the dress doctors in the 20th century ( read The Lost Art of Dress by Linda Przybyszewski 2014 - yes, the spelling of her name is correct, but I can't pronounce it!). These three dresses looked so good on you, Yvonne. One thing I would like to know, and something I always look for, is a seam down the centre back of the skirt. I find that it gives you a little more fabric and looks better from a side view. Thank you once again for bringing us these great looks from Marks.

Due to a change in lifestyle don't wear dresses that often now and lean more towards two piece outfits (top and bottom coordinate) that when paired, gives the illusion of a dress and/or offers the option of several ways to wear, that extends my wardrobe. That being said though; love what you've shown today with favourites being the linen shirtdress with trim detail and the twist front dress. (The latter for my slender body type I might nip the under arm seam lines for a closer fit and perhaps add light removable shoulder pads to modernize it even more.) Looking forward every Sunday to seeing your videos which I often share on my Pinterest Board.

Hi Fran, so lovely of you thank you. The sleeveless dress does have a wider armhole as part of the design which is a sort of 'drop shoulder' which makes it wider. But honestly, it's stunning. I love all of the dresses but I don't like the length. I'm only 5 '2" and size 8 and look swamped in these longer lengths. If you have any influence with M & S please could you ask them to consider replicating these pieces in a knee length version.

Oh I so totally understand. Sometimes in 'new pieces' I have seen, they release a limited range initially, and so they may release more. I am only 2 (and a bit) inches taller than you, size 8 or 6 depending on the style, and so that may give you perspective. Honestly, they are worth a try, but don't discount a bit of tailoring. I’m sorry but I don’t have your enthusiasm for these dresses. The colours are generally bland and styles with all the tied waists not generally flattering unless you are a size 6! You look great in the trousers and blouse at the start.
