The final part of my reflections on what the trivium could look like in a modern context. I add elements from the Rennaissance and from Daoism to round out the more narrow scope of the Classical Trivium.

Bravo Maestro Cecil!!! Once more, you come full circle in the spirit of consilience and conclude with a "broche de oro"! " Now that you have memorized the sutras, sit still in nature and unlearn them". Ahhhh! Full circle. Bravo maestro. Bravo!

This video is one of the most profound things I have ever listened too. Every aspect is something I've been pursuing for my entire adult life. The word is not the idea/thing/feeling whaaaat 🤯 I have standards I expect my body to have; flexibility strength cardio etc.,"good posture", "being fit" and then to extend that same feeling outwards to my personal life and community.

If you like that you should check out Alan Watts. He talks a lot about this kind of stuff. Daoism and Zen etc in a down to earth manner. There's a lot of audio recordings on KZbin.

Ha! My Computer science masters program actually required physical activities to pass! You could get a pass if you could prove you were a part of a sports club. The bare minimum was 3 hill hikes a year plus one hour of gym per week if I recall correctly. This is FER in Croatia if you are curious.

PC? I experience it as a much needed departure from the usual overly political histrionic nature of nearly every "content" creator online these days. I've officially grown out of all that insanity, much more prefer the vibes of an authentically chill dude

22:50 notion of how you dress comfortably gives this idea that you are selfish and care about yourself is none sense, because if you are dressing with your comfort it means you won't be judging someone who is also dressing for their own comfort and probably give a non-biased chanced to such person to also participate in the community. I like a lot of you lectures but sometimes I found it you over simplify or abstracts things to justify your opinions.
