Hello James…. I’ve not had the best year of health. As an artist I always watch your videos. I’m a singer composer of 53 yrs of age primarily of Rock inspiration…. But have been expressing myself with mainly abstract art …. Just one thing. The fact that you videotaped musicians and give their Web addresses or emails says a lot. You are truly a wonderful artist yourself and your videos of the gallery’s artists are a beautiful and so lucky I am to vision them . I do hope you read this because basically it is a big hug and kisses to you and your work for helping street musicians and gallery artists ….. From Quebec, Canada. Merci Beaucoup !

really nice showing. That Gorky "enigma" is fit for a museum, and all the info about John Graham was wonderful to hear. I especially loved the harlequin and warrior on horseback paintings by him, gorgeous things. thanks kate, and congrats young munk!

thanks so much for this walkthrough. One of my favorite drawings is John Graham's Apotheosis at the Chicago Art Institute, nice to see some more of his work!

There was an Artist Talk on Art Symposium evening about John Graham about 30 years ago I attended. Ultra Violet & the VV critic Lennie Horowitz who was a good friend of mine both knew him were on the panel. Very solid, high minded powerful paintings. The panel is on a video or at least as audio tape now at the Smithsonian. Ultra Violet had a signing for her book about Andy that evening there as well & she endorsed mine with something really nice about Graham.

This is not Art; it is an attack on Art. Arshile Gorky, rushed full tilt, toward his self-made destiny.

Its hard not to see the mastery in this work and not think that those who were there at the beginnings, the very invention, of modern painting really got it right while the next generation followers sort of lost that energy and insight.

I really really love your content. I wish i could watch a complete video but the camera swings around so much and so fast that it makes me a little dizzy. :-(
