Rick realized immediately after his van conversion was complete that his life has changed forever. With this Van, he could travel the nomadic lifestyle and have more freedom. He built a custom campervan and it changed his life.
In today’s short video we feature Rick and his DIY GMC Savannah class B camper van build. There will be a full tour of this van on New Jersey Outdoor Adventures channel this Fall. #vanlife #campervan #liveoutlandish

I've never understood why anyone would spend hundreds of dollars for a hotel/motel room only to sleep in a bed that has been occupied by hundreds..perhaps thousands..of others. For an individual or a couple, a conversion van provides comfort, convenience, privacy, safety..and yes..even a degree of luxury. An example of.. The wisdom of simplicity. The luxury of efficiency.

@jimtapia8836 Are you living in America or Australia? I'm in Oz. To have a good setup, you'd need Au$20.000 or more. I got a little Kia Cerato & a pop up tent, got all the camping gear, but I'm too old for that. Plus, we are coming into summer so you'd need an air con & solar panel to run it. I'll just have to be content to dream about adventures... 🤗

@@joanRooney-x8jto afford anything in Australia right now is beyond a joke. I am 40 now, and am terrified of what life will be like in just another 10 years. Am pretty much priced out of rentals. I hope that lotto win is around the corner for you! We'd all settle for small wins these days. I used to dream of huge lotto wins, anything to help get by is now plenty!

Know that this worldly life is no more than play, amusement, luxury, mutual boasting, and competition in wealth and children. This is like rain that causes plants to grow, to the delight of the planters. But later the plants dry up and you see them wither, then they are reduced to chaff. And in the Hereafter there will be either severe punishment or forgiveness and pleasure of Allah, whereas the life of this world is no more than the delusion of enjoyment. (QURAN-57:20)

And I bet he didn’t break the bank doing it! The taller vans have been priced so high since the van life movement took off, priced most people out of the market for those unless you have rich parents or you are the rich boomer/tech millionaire. Really like seeing a van that the average person can still afford to buy turned into a livable rig. Lovely job ❤

I would love to see our government provide a van like this to every homeless Vet and different designs & sizes to accomodate disabled Vets. Maybe have a campground in every State with bathrooms and showers. A gas pump, clubhouse with kitchen and a covered deck to bq on. Firepits to sit and socialize with other vets. Visting Nurses & Social workers who come once a week to check on their services and medical needs. This doesn't have to be expensive running the camp ground on solar even water purification system where you can use lake, river or rain water to process. The great thing about being mobile is they can stay stationary or drive to visit family or friends and when the van is no longer needed it could be passed on to another Vet. Wouldnt you rather have your tax dollar go to someone who risked their lives for our country or send Trillions of our tax dollars go to foreign countries.
