She can't help but be proud. Like she said she planned every last millimeter of it (except for what came out of the Fiat factory.) My Dad did something like this back in the 1960s. Motels were way too expensive for a one income family with 5 kids, so he got a small school bus, stripped the interior, painted it, and turned it into a camper. It had booth seating that sat four (and slept 2), a 2 meter long couch, a kitchen with running water, a toilet, and a set of bunk beds. We vacationed all over the north central U.S. Not nearly as elegant as Claire's but just as well loved by his family.

That's a fine, LOW price for the utility of permanent residence, and for an artist's income no less. Get a job. This generation is literally children still trading pennies off of an allowance. Treating everything as a luxury instead of a life investment, and are only concerned over what other luxuries they'll miss in the tradeoff. And this lady even boosted domestic labor and signed out of the housing bubble racket. At first I was sad she doesn't appear to have children to fulfill her life, but I reconsidered. The less, the better. All they'll do is pump money into double mortgages again and give banks that sweet collateral to loan MORE.

I was homeless and bought a 5th wheel camper when I won my disability case. I`ve bought redundant solar power for individual items. My chest freezer has two 700 watt power stations rated at 2500 charge cycles to 80% remaining capacity each. They can be recharged in 3 1/2 to 5 hours by solar. I have two 500 watt power stations for my dorm fridge. I have one each for two 12 volt cookers, and several more small ones for lights, small fans, and WIFI. I just bought a 300 amp hour battery rated at 4000 to 8000 charge cycles for my tiny window air conditioner, supplemental heat, cooking, or distilling water off grid. I need a few more extra parts like fuses and a ground rod to safely use it as a solar system but I`m slowly getting it all. Right now I can charge it from my other power stations in a pinch or from grid power before a storm and can probably safely charge it from solar then disconnect it and connect my 2000 watt AC inverter. I`m just being very careful. I spent the last of my savings on it.
