I read somewhere that it is not recommented to play with opponents 400 points lower than you, because it is too weak and it is not fair for both. So, we almost there - GM is too weak for Magnus. Probably it would be nice to intro new title for 2700+ and 2800+. And probably, one to make some motivation for Magnus 2900+.

I don't think his initial plan was to flag his opponent. I think he knew his opponents knight was just so weak he could allow a sac and instead opted to weaken the king. His opponents knight parked on h2 for 30 moves😂 then again it's Magnus. Nobody really knows what he's thinking 😂

The one unfair thing is that Magnus is so fucking dominate that 98% of people who sees his name in front of them crumble on move 1. He knows it too, the Magnus effect is something even Hikaru is held back by. Any ultra dominate player in a any sport will have this quality

I think its necessary to treat a better player than you with a bit more respect (double check things you normally wouldn't) because if you don't you might just get blown off the board like many others. Its just a dilemma that playing with too much caution can sometimes be the reason for defeat.

Magnus goat in classic rapid and blitz but i gotta give bullet to hikaru. That man had smashed every bullet tournament with magnus in it. He has a play average/good moves strategy untill his opponents blunder and he wins every game that way.

Hikaru plays WAY more bullet than Magnus and in the BCC, Magnus's first time competing in it, Magnus took it 5(+) games in overtime and Hikaru ultimately won by 2. Also in SCC, 2022 and 2023, Magnus beat Hikaru in the bullet portion both times. I promise you, if Magnus decided he really want's to take it even more seriously than he already does, he can 100% win the bcc, he's proven time and time again in any format that he's just unstoppable if he want's to be.

The speed chess championship is 1+1 where magnus is favorite and stronger, hikaru is king at 1+0 because of what you say but that's mostly because he is the strongest in classical to play it and stream a lot, but in term of speed, andrew tang/alireza are faster, alireza is probably as strong, and it's mostly bullet experience talking for naka. Naka being king at 1+0 is slowly but surely vanishing away, i would want to see magnus against naka in 1+0 in a 10+ games match, but I would only giva naka 65% chances of winning..

From what I can tell, Queen takes is of course bad since White would love a trade, but rook takes is worse than a5 for a different reason: computer says Qe3 since white is still happy with a trade, and black either takes it or gives white the time to consolidate(avoiding the trade also leaves a7 hanging)

Aman wasn't even on stream, and Eric literally came and saw the chat in shambles and told them to calm down, and personally offered Ted his money back in several ways, and several times. I do think it was kinda shitty of Magnus, but at the same time, Magnus literally sent Ted a challenge and Ted was being snarky about it being an unrated game. I don't think either Magnus or Ted are in the right here, but I don't think Eric or Aman did anything wrong. It's been a while since I saw a Chessbrah video so I figured, sure, why not, everyone deserves second chances. I decided to give their video another view only to realize they are even worse than before.
