I was thinking the same thing. Surprising amount of detail, molded in all the basic colors, neat sandwich construction that sees deckhouses come up through the decking. Eye catching brass parts. Really well done. The finished resin piece is mindblowing.

To think that such a tragedy actually happened is bone chilling. That people actually witnessed a ship that size just snap in two and descend into the ocean below. It’s a scary thought.

What's scariest is they didn't see it happen at all. It was pitch black outside. All they could hear was the rumble if it sinking.

@@M16Joe Couldn't agree more. One minute the screams the next total silence. Took the rescue boat nearly 3 hours to reach the survivors. Unbelievably scary.

Another interesting fact is the actual break up wasn't like the movie. It was actually very subtle and people could hardly tell the ship split hence why so many surviors believed the ship sank in one piece. It wasn't until Ballards discovery of the wreck in 85 did we know the ship split.

maybe, if you ever want to make another one: the break really did happen infront the third funnel. and additionally two big parts of the ships upper hull broke away, aka tower 3&4. but nonetheless this looks so stunnig beautifull made 👍

A absolutely amazing model the only thing I think is wrong is the breakup happened at the area between the compass platform and the where the 3rd funnel is and at a slightly lower angle but the way you caught the bow plunging with the mast snapping back is perfect what a brilliant model.

Just so you know he knew that it wasn’t accurate to modern titanic sinking theories, he said he’s doing the 1997 breakup, which broke between third and fourth funnels

This is really cool. I've seen models of the wreck before, but never one that chose to do this moment in time, and I think you did a great job. The only thing I think you slightly overdid was the water/wave effects. The sea was as flat as a mirror that night, part of the reason they only saw the iceberg so late, there were no waves breaking at the base. (And a whole host of other reasons.) Also, the Titanic was huge, even by modern standards. So even the water that would have been tossed about by the stern finally going under still wouldn't have reached that high or made waves that big when adjusting for the 1/1000th scale. Still, not enough to detract from the fact that I think this model is awesome.
