This is what I find so cool about the idea of setting up a piano in a public place for anyone to play: it shows there‘s something more to people than their appearance and allows them to communicate with whoever is passing by - and everyone gets to tap into the common emotional experience of music. In a world where media consumption increasingly isolates people, this is a precious thing.

Long gone are the days of when one would be ecstatic for booking even the smallest venues just so you can at least say you tried. Now, getting recognition has never been easier to do because of social media (also, another technology advancement). The fact that recognition can be obtained so easily now is bringing people who "gave up" or "put it on the backburner" back when they were younger due to the slim chances of making it, decided to pursue a safer career path (likely to support their family, which is the most amazingly selfless reason ever) but do to their passion and love of their instruments, never gave it up and now having venues to share their talents without the full time effort of finding an agency to do so or better yet, not need to leave a great career to pursue a dream that may not come true are finally getting the chance to perform, and not in the smallest of venues, but on the world stage. Tech did that.....

I was watching this with a friend and I told her this man is a true artist. He has music flowing in his mind. Just look at the way he is pouring out his soul through his fingertips. There are people who don’t have to practice, it’s a gift from God one a person feels they must get out of their head and into the world. He seems to be a prodigy. I think it was made up as he went. He was releasing his emotions into the atmosphere. He got up and walked away like that because it is normal to him. It’s just a part of him that he probably don’t even recognize anything special about. It’s just him being him. Give credit where credit is due. The man is gifted.

The most amazingest thing is how completely flawless every piece of equipment he is wearing is. Not a scuff or mark on any of it, all the way down to the cuffed ankles of his jeans.

I didn’t even realize this was improvised until I read this comment and checked the description. I just thought it was some piece I had never heard before. I’m even more impressed now.
