It's so awesome to see other companies making a real difference in their communities by using this approach. Great work Echelon!

The way things are nowadays it’s probably the right decision to hire that kind of security.

So it’s like a PBID. We have these in California everywhere. It’s basically like being private police.

Colorado makes this model super easy criminal law allows all citizens to make arrest for observed offense as long as its a finally. And real loose laws for removing unwanted persons from property. Basically you can do anything within reason. Just have to watch the civil suite. We also did PI cases for petitions to the city to get them to act. Our model was similar to this.

I think that’s a great concept however if these officers don’t get the proper training these officers would be a big liability. It sounds nice but again without professional training how effective is this company.

I chose to retire from a security company that went from proactive to observe and report. The reason given was me. I was attacked by an individual. I'm a retired LEO and am disabled. That didn't keep me from holding my own. At the hospital, I was covered in blood. None of it was mine, though. 😅 After got in trouble for helping a more elderly than me gentleman who tipped over a curb in his electric wheelchair. I was instructed to watch him fall out and then call 911. In the ensuing argument with my bosses, I was told if I saw a heart attack happen I was to simply call 911 even though I had paramedic training into the early 90s. I was told I wasn't currently certified. My military and law enforcement training is not observe and report. I hated walking on egg shells so I pulled the pin. It's sad when your company won't use a readily available source of training. They were only interested in money. I truly miss helping people. I think I'll use my guard card for target practice. Might as well get some use out of it.
