Small as we were, the problems I had as the President at the end were disappointing to say the least. I found I could not trust my SSA for example. I watched Little Dave testify in a criminal case in Downtown LA in a federal trial. David Santillan is incredibly intelligent and articulate. He completely stuck it to the government. Was with the club under Doc's reign and left just after Dave's began. I am an East Coast guy and only met Dave once in person and spoke about 2-3 times on the phone. He always seemed about the club to me. And he wasn't a gangster. Not even close. He's a good time guy. He likes his happy times. And he was a great peace-time boss. I remained close with a few guys after I left and they never had bad to say about the guy. Did he rat ? Nah, doubt it. They could cover that up in court if they wanted I'm sure. But I doubt he did. Dave had the mindset of "Attract more bees with honey" or "Go along to get along". It's easier when you are not an aggressive douche to the cops. Note I said easier, not always better. But it is easier. And if you relax and chill and treat them as such they often do the same. IDK if that was his whole trip or not, but I am guess it was. Do I think he fell into the pitfalls of power ? Absolutely ! He had access to money, places to live, bikes, girls, etc. He was a 1%er not a pirest, lol. Of course he indulged and broke some rules. He even said he had five separate sets of colors. Yea being the "P" got perks, but 5 ? I only ever had one. lol. There is a faction from back during Doc's day that has never set right with dave as the president. They been trying to get him out since I left. One of my last discussions with my chapter president was sticking by Dave against those other guys. Well, they were patient and got their job done. Took over a decade, but they did it. @@cinemillstv Here is my comment on Insane Throttle: I have not seen with my own eyes all the evidence of the case, nor the 302 you mention for the very reason you mention. I have heard FBI, ATF, LAPD and LASO all say during the case before the judge ruled that Lil Dave was not an informant, or a CI. There is zero evidence that a club member has been prosecuted or convicted based on his supposed cooperation with law enforcement, nor is there any evidence that he has been treated with kid gloves by law enforcement on his past and pending cases. This is exactly what the judge ruled, and what Mooch said on the excellent video you did with him and Black Diamond. The fact that Agent Ciccone said "Lil Dave could've been a paid informant" is vague at best in that any law enforcement officer can say someone could be a paid informant simply because that officer does not know if that person is or is not an informant. That's why it was treated as hearsay and not evidence. When it comes to allegations like this, evidence, or the lack thereof should carry more weight than hearsay about possibilities that are unsupported by paperwork.
