The Monkees - Sunny Girlfriend - Beacon Theatre

The Monkees at the Beacon Theatre, NYC, December 2, 2012 - I had a great time at this concert! I especially loved that they featured music from their Headquarters album. This is Sunny Girlfriend (written by Michael Nesmith) featuring Michael Nesmith, Micky Dolenz (in back on drums), and Peter Tork
Mike Nesmith was very well-received by the crowd! He was fantastic!

Sit down and really listen to the Monkees song Tapioca Tundra. Crazy, late-'60s, psychedellic, beautiful lyrics and an absolutely great melody. Michael Nesmith is brilliant!

The same with me - I became a fan in 1986 also. Kinda got out of the Monkeemania a little in the 90's but the past 5-10 years or so, I've been back into them. They just never get old.

Frebazak, i too have been a huge fan of Nez's for decades. Had you heard that the Gretsch he's playing on tour is not the original 12 string? Apparently, that one was stolen, along with his white SG, from Red Rhodes repair shop in the late '60's. Gretsch made him another which I've seen pictures of him using during the Justus album. I believe the tobacco one he is using on tour is also a new custom job for him by Gretsch.
