The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame doesn't deserve the Monkees.

Mike Nesmith - a wonderful voice - HE wrote this song -"THE KIND OF GIRL I COULD LOVE" - what a great song writer - and listen to our man Peter Tork on slide guitar and Micky Dolenz on backup vocals and percussion - wow - wow - wow - GOD BLESSed THE MONKEES

I, along with our younger child, caught this tour at their NC stop. I checked the set list for this tune; my favorite "Mike" cut. BTW, I was sitting next to some young ladies in their teens who expressed a little jealousy of those of us who were their age when these guys were on TV and in the charts. Later, my husband read the show reviews and said he regretted not joining us. THANK YOU MONKEES FOR ALL THE EXCELLENT MUSIC, THE LAUGHS, THE FEEL GOOD TIMES. RIP Davey. We miss you.

Absolute, utter jaw dropping perfection. That tour was nothing short of answered prayer.

From 97 to 2011, like you I was pretty much convinced that a meteor would wipe us out before we'd see Mike tour with the Monkees again. So sad that it didn't happen before Davy passed, but, having seen them like 14 times from '86 to 2016, I rank this tour as my favorite.

Michael was and still is my favorite of the Monkees. I loved them all. I'm 45 and still love the Monkees. And yes, people, if anyone still doesn't know as of their third album they did play their own instruments. Michael was writing songs as early as the very first album as well. The Monkees helped me during a rough period in my life with a smile and tunes I still sing along to. My favorite song is I'm A Believer but there are plenty of good ones. They deserve their place in pop/rock music histo

Same here. I'm 47 and have been a huge Monkees fan since the mid-80s. Mike also was and still is my favourite. My first concert was The Monkees in 1987. I saw Nez solo in 2018 and then Micky and Mike in 2021 for the Monkees Farewell tour. It boggles me that people still think they didn't play their own instruments when they clearly proved that they did decades ago. Headquarters is my 2nd favourite Monkees album after PACJ. PACJ was the first Monkees album I heard and got me hooked.

@pbsfundingaddict790 Peter is my 2nd favourite. I just resonated with Mike so much, both of us being from Texas and I was learning guitar in the mid-80s when I first heard their music and saw the series marathon on MTV. I also loved his dry wit.

Michael Laman The Gretsch Custom Shop makes a model very very close but it is also $$$! There is a production model that is similar enough to satisfy a lot of Nezheads which can be had for around $800 USD at the right time.

Good song. Glad they decided to do it live, finally, after more or less ignoring it for decades. THIS is closer to the way their original line-up should've been, with Peter taking lead. Would've given them a wider range to their sound, and allowed for solo bridges, at least occasionally. Davy could've handled bass on some of the songs, and/or rhythm, alternating with Michael on same instruments. Or Davy on drums, with Micky handling rhythm and Michael on bass.

Well say what you want about them, there was a lot of talent here, Tork as you see can see is quite good on bass, lead guitar , banjo, keyboard etc. Nesmiths writing skills are one of the most underrated, thanks to the shit head media who are scrambling to catch the next stupid thing to come out of Justin Bieber's face.
