I love these story-vids where I don't actually have to watch the screen. I can relax in bed at night to it, listen with earphones while I'm walking etc or have it on in the background while I'm working. Plus your accent, voice and tone is calming and relaxing to me. I love Fascinating Horror and I am happily subscibing to this too.

This is the first video I've watched on this channel. I forgot I had my playback speed set to 0.25x from a previous video, and thought you had taken a VERY avant garde approach 😂 I'm sure this channel is going to be a huge success, I write short stories (more 'spooky' than outright 'horror') and have found there's a lot of demand out there for decent content. Good luck!

“I know a wish that CAN’T fail! I wish for a turkey sandwich, with lettuce, tomatoes, and mustard, on rye bread, AND-with no mayonnaise, and-AND, I don’t want any ‘zombie turkeys’, I don’t want to turn into a turkey myself, and I don’t want any weird surprises, you got that!?” **monkey paw curls its last finger and a sandwich appears before me** 🥪

A great, and still chilling, classic story, read wonderfully. Thank you for uploading! Please keep these fictional horror stories coming. :) Also, I can't help but feel terrible for the mother in this tale. Granted, I wouldn't want to see what was behind that door either, but still... her grief was driving her mad.

I remember reading a couple of stories from a "Pan book of horror" when I was in my early teens (in fact, I was told off by the girl guide leaders as I'd read them out loud and some of the younger girl guides couldn't sleep!) The titles were "the fur brooch" and "I'll never leave you - ever" I'd love to hear these narrated (assuming they're as good as I remember them to be!)

Amazing project! I like it very much! This is one of my favourite tales. I often think of it when I wish for something... "Be careful what you wish for 'cause you might just get it" If you accept suggestions, I propose "Nightmare in Yellow" by Fredric Brown (one of my favourite writers, who masters the art of short stories) Looking forward to see what you bring to this channel! Greetings from Barcelona, Spain!

I heard this story when I was young and the final scene has always stuck with me. The mental image of this young man, broken and mangled, in excruciating pain, having somehow clawed his way out of his own grave... oddly, I remember a different ending. The way I remember it, the woman was able to open the door and see what was left of her son. She dropped dead on the spot from fright. And for each wish, the monkey's paw curled one finger inward. I don't know if that's a real version or just a childhood misremembering, though.

I was thinking about a monkey's paw the other day after I saw the video of a man getting arrested. The police officer said, while patting the suspect down, "I have to check you for items that you may uses as weapons, drugs, or possibly escape.". I thought to myself, "I should carry a monkey's paw in my pocket" to see ur they'd take it if I get arrested upon return to America

I'm still curious about what would've happened if the corpse of their son had gotten inside. Would it have been like "Pet Sematary", possessed by something evil and killing people? Would it have been an animated, mangled body, wishing for death, but reluctantly alive by magical forces no one understands, like in, "Tales from the Crypt" (1972)? Or would it have just been their son, crushed and deformed by his accident, but alive once more?
