That could also mean the stories they tell are what the children were doing before they died. Anna and Rex were trying to fish before they died, likely trying to fish together and they tried to go home once they were out of bait. And based off of Anna’s apprehension towards the viewer compared to Rex, they might’ve been lured to their death by strangers because Rex was too trusting. Oswald and Gleeson were trying to find the old tree and got lost and well, they never found the right trail. Depending on what the whistle means, they probably never heard the whistle because the strangers were hunting or the last thing they heard was each other and the strangers’ hunting whistle.

So, there was something on the White Stag community tab that seems to be important to the story. It’s a picture of a newspaper covering the death of Luke and the bottom right corner has a picture of the Jersey Devil, a folkloric creature said to inhabit the Pine Barrens forest (interestingly, there is also a Native American myth that the area was inhabited by a spirit called M’Sing). The title of the post is in Latin and translates to “The fiery sword is turned to stone, and the star of heaven is guilty/the star of the sky is the culprit.” Also, if I remember right, the Enoch verse was taking place when Enoch, a biblical prophet, was traveling across the universe with some of the angels. In the video’s verse, Enoch was taken to the place where the Watchers, angels who had children with human women and made giants, were sealed away and burned forever as punishment. Uriel more or less told Enoch that the Watchers deserved it for what they did. Also, later the giants (also known as the Nephilim) were wiped out by the Biblical Flood, but I’ve heard that their spirits still linger on Earth as basically ghosts). So, a mini-theory I have is that either 1) the Biblical text is more literal and implies that the masked people are Nephilim spirits and are haunting the forest, or 2) the Native American spirit M’Sing is inhabiting the forest and the masked people are either other spirits of the forest or M’Sing punishing trespassers (maybe that’s why the other paths are “false”). Last note, Satan means “adversary”, and might have been the serpent from the Adam and Eve story. Could he also be the Barren Pines adversary? The biggest question though is how the characters (other than Luke) died. I’d guess that the other characters were killed after Luke was killed in the church basement. Maybe the Strangers became more hostile after that and went after the cast? I’m not sure about the Little Red Riding Hood story, though. It could be just a parallel to the actual story (both warning against trusting people you don’t know) or a wordplay on stranger.

For those wondering, the PINE BARRENS is named cause it has trees but the land itself is boggy or otherwise kind of shit for farmland. Historically just backwoods country for poors, so naturally it developed usual kinds of rumors of weirdos living in the woods and monsters, like the Jersey Devil.

The “unholy entity” mentioned throughout this series is undoubtedly the Jersey Devil. It’s an urban legend that states a creature roams the Pine Barrens. It has the head of a horse, bat wings, goat hooves, and a serpent’s tail. It walks on two legs, and of course, it eats people. And I’ve been through the pine barrens so many times (My paternal grandparents live in New Jersey) and I NEVER knew it had ruins in it.

Just remembered there was a story of a white stag in the pine barrens who aided lost hikers and even prevented disasters. If I remember right, the first sighting of it was on Quaker bridge around 1809 where it stopped a stagecoach from going onto a collapsing bridge during a storm. I live in NJ, the pine barrens are right here and so many weird and unexplainable things have happened in there over the years. They say "once you go in, you don't come out". Very easy to get lost for hours, if not days. Stories of strange people living back there, the Jersey Devil, a lake monster, shadow people, disembodied screams, ghosts & phantom cars, fresh blood on trees and rocks, cult rituals.. you'll find deer strung up and gutted with candles around it. A lot of weird, weird stuff goes on, especially back in the late 90s, early 2000s.

I looked into the Enoch part and here's what I found. The text basically describes seven entities that are punished for their sins by being bound together and to a sort of prison. Since the book of Enoch is about angels, demons and such, it's safe to assume that the seven entities are fallen angels. The number seven immediately had me thinking about the seven deadly sins. Usually they are depicted as the seven princes of hell. As other people pointed out, the adversary and blazing swords really evoke the whole Garden of Eden and Satan narrative. And guess what? Both Lucifer (pride) and Satan (wrath) are among these princes. It is possible that these are the identities of the adversary and the monster.

A bit of a correction. Book Of Enoch is seen as an apocrypha, a book not exactly heretical, but not accurate by most churches, showing that the one in the video must be a small, secular church. Additionally, the Seven Watchers are a group of angels sent to Earth under Azazel that ended up betraying their mission of simply guarding the humanity by marrying humans and creating the race of giants, Nephilim. Azazel in particular is said to have taught humans weaponmaking, jewelry making and sorcery. There is no cannonical Hell hierarchy as well, as much as bibilical fanfics tried to set one up. Lucifer and Satan are also, 90% of the time, seen as one creature, it's just that his angel name was Lightbringer, while after fall he named himself the Opponent. Seven is commonly used in the Bible, seen as the number of God, because it's the highest prime number representing fullness and is the direct reason why devils number is 6(66). Perfection, but lacking.

Satan literally means "the adversary" The Satan use to be a title in proto Hebrew. Essentially god had a royal court of sorts and it was the Satan's job to bring up cases against the humans in a productive way. Eventually this all changed but the adversary part stayed and by Christianity it became a single being just as the Malach havat( angel of death) went from a title to an actual singular angel.

I think its important to note that in both Intuitate and in Puppet show Strangers are implied to be nonhumans, in the drug video they are referred as humanoids and in the show Luke looks at 'you' and says that 'you' don't LOOK like Stranger and at the end he says they don't have regard for our well being pretty much excluding those Strangers from us. All of this to say that in the Christmas video it was a Stranger in the basement and not 'The Adversary'

In Christianity Satan is often referred to as “The Enemy” so to me “The Adversary” could represent Satan. The fact that it’s referred to as a snake like being also supports this being that Satan took the form of a serpent to tempt Adam and Eve in The Garden of Eden. I don't know if someone pointed this out, but when it said Little Red heard birds singing but none were around. I'm assuming the birdsong is the stranger's whistling, and like you said the wolf was supposed to represent the masked people. Especially since it looked like the "wolf" had a mask on. Also, I wonder if what the kids were doing that episode correlates to how they died. The two kids Gleeson and Oswald died to the strangers/the worm entity while out hiking for the old tree. I don't know about Anna and Rex though, maybe they died out fishing? Lastly, to add to the Daniel dream, it seems his dream hasn't come true yet. Not just because the hole wasn't there, but also he encountered 5 strangers in his dream while in real life he only saw 3. It doesn't seem like he died either as it said he encountered 3 masked people, but no hole. If he died they wouldn't know how many masked he saw, or that he didn't find the hole. This might be obvious, but it's what I picked up on 😅. Off topic, that wolf is going to give me nightmares 😰.

I watched this video twice and noticed something about the song. The composition written by Daniel Carpenter, the test subject after he had his dream where he heard it being hummed by the strangers, is the same song we hear at 28:26 with the two puppets in the forest. This also ties into the "SAFE" acronym used in the video titled "Pine Barrens Hiking Safety", where we not only see him off trail where the strangers lurk, but they're also humming the same song. This composition seems to be a sign of the strangers and it may be used for occult-like reasons, such as summoning the "unknown animal". However, from the basic understanding of the notes in trouble clef translated from the composition (18:50), (E, D, E, B, D, E, B, E, A, G, Ab [or G#], G, C) they seem to have no significance other than being a creepy tune. However, there may be parts that I missed, such as the possibility at the "Christmas Eve Candlelight Service", where the background music used could follow the same pattern of notes as the composition.

The whistles in the camp in the dark near the end of the video background, the whistles synchronized, which meant they started hunting, maybe AFTER the puppet video ended they were ambushed, as it even shows the deaths of the puppets/children. This hole is actually (I believe) a watering hole inside the barrens, where the Jersey Devil, the main entity where the barrens get their name from (and probably what killed Luke), is said to reside

As a Catholic and a Christian theologian, I found that John 3:16 means nothing as it is just part of daily worship HOWEVER, Enoch is NOT part of the Bible but rather part of the Ethiopian Orthodox bible. It states that that the place that he is interrupting is a prison for the angels. Kinda how Luke disturbed the Unknown animal and that was a prison for them. Hope that helps!

The adversary is a term I’ve heard used to describe Satan or the Anti-Christ. Satan being the snake that offered the first temptation in the garden of Eden, could explain the snake looking thing from the puppet show. The burning sword could refer to the guardian of Eden who was gifted a flaming sword by God to guard the gate to paradise (Eden) after Adam and Eve were banished.

A bit late but when it comes to the kid’s show, I feel like Red Riding Hood is a parallel to how the children were lured and killed or brutally beaten and abandoned. I say his because in many iterations of the story, the wolf stalks the little girl, eats the grandma, lays in bed pretending to be Little Red’s grandma, then mauls the little girl and eats her. What if the Strangers stalk kids that go off track outside of the forest to bring to The Adversary? They also most likely whistle to possibly entice people to follow the calming melody (which usually happen to younger children due to blind curiosity) rather than them “not hunting”? I’m also fascinated on how Luke gave so much information to possibly predict victims and enough information for a show to follow a script.

As a person who has a degree in cryptozoology, the Pine Barrens in New Jersey is a very dangerous place to be, at least unprepared. There are 2 reasons. 1. It is a large and complicated forset(at least some parts.). And 2. There is a creature known simply as the Jersey Devil, which is the demon portrayed in the video. It looks like a horse with 2 horns, wings, and goat hooves. Most people think this is a myth, but it is very real. Us at the R.O.C(Researchers Of Cryptozoology.) man. There's something a lot of analog horror series have been lacking, and this one isn't lacking it. I can't explain/describe the difference but this one is for sure a step up. Commitment maybe? production value? Like you said, it feels LEGIT. like an actual old program series, like actual old videos, not cheesy or lame at all. even with the early reveal of Wrong in the first video, the actual quality of the vids more than made up for it. As a person who lives by the woods i have seen many creepy things. The creepiest thing a saw was a man nicknamed “The Poodle Man”. He was called that because he had a poodle (btw this man has been reported for touching children). So when i was 8-10 i was exploring the woods and saw him, at the time i didn’t recognize his face but when he looked at me i realized who he was. He started chasing me for a good ten minutes. I made to my home and called the cops. I do not think he was found

Why the company in the analog horror is called White Stag Education is because there is a rumor that there was a stag that was white and when there was a vehicle that was crossing a bridge in the Barrens that was about to fall into a river the white stag jumped an saved the people.

I feel like the burning swords sentence is a reference to the Garden of Eden, after Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, God cast them out and protected the Garden with a giant flaming sword placed at the entrance, and the Adversary reminds me of the Serpent, sorry if this theory is spotty.

17:26 Yeah no you most likely do not want that, I have had dreams that ended up happening in real life not to mention that i get these feelings when something is going to happen and they most likely do, i often give my family members warnings on what will happen and they get highly scared and paranoid. When i told my sister long time ago to "stop the car cause something will happen soon" she turned to me with fear in her eyes, but her bf at the time ignore my warning and kept driving not long ago we ended up crashing into a tree on the side of a huge cliff if it wasn't for that tree we would have died, but they both looked at each other with fear and looked at me saying "how?" i told them i warned you but you ignored me i do not know how. Back in 2022 i think, i got a dream and a feeling again about that same sister dying in her sleep and i felt her die, not long ago my other sister called crying saying she passed away in her sleep i looked at my father and told him "i knew she was going to die today" that was the first time i seen him scared. Last year i told my father "you need to stop drinking you are killing your body and something will happen soon and you might end up losing me" he got in a car crash and i was sent to the psyche ward, he was scared and angry that he didn't listen to me saying that he will listen to my warnings for now on. Now every time i get these feelings my family listens to me, because if they don't bad thing's will happen and they are scared of that, i had this ever since i was a child i remember the first time it started was when i woke up in the middle of the night shaking my father saying to him "mom isn't here dad she is in trouble" and soon after we heard a knock at the door, i remember finding a missing child saying to the police and my father "he didn't go far he is in the woods close by with a friend" and not long they found him in the woods close to his house with his dog, it was on the news and my father looked at me shocked on how i knew. This is just personal stories i wanted to share cause it reminded me of these events that happened to me, i don't know how or why i have these feelings i can't explain it, i mean it's good to have and everything but if your not fast enough or if people ignore you, it get's maddening and only you know what happened mostly when you see in inside your mind....

mine is different I get like these little scenes of the future, it could be for the next day or later on in the day.those scenes would actually happen, I mostly see these scenes when I daydream or sleep. But what i have been noticing lately is that the scenes have been getting longer and longer it could be because I’m not sleeping that much but it’s really cool to just know what like the teacher is going to say and you can respond to it easily 😊

I can pretty confidently say that the church is (in someway) in on it. They're either funneling people for the Strangers or a front for them to blend in with society. The biggest tell for me was the Christmas Eve video, in which the pastor read from Enoch; a book considered by the three major branches of Christianity (Catholics, Protestants, and the Orthodox Church) to be an apocryphal book (a book outside of the biblical canon that is believed to have not, unlike those in the canon, been inspired by the Holy Spirit). As far as I know, only the Ethiopian Church considers Enoch as part of their canon, and considering the story takes place in New Jersey, there's definitely something wrong there. Also, the name of the "big bad" in this series is The Adversary. Which, if I'm not mistaken, is the actual English translation of the Hebrew word for "devil".

Hey! Orthodox that went to a catholic private school for two years here. You're right about the book of Enoch. Hadn't heard about it before as it was never mentioned in any of my religious classes even. I looked into the book myself actually and it's pretty interesting actually content wise. It focuses alot more on the angels that fell to earth and their direct effects. It's a chaotic book that provides a different perspective on angels and their role... and God's punishment of the fallen Angels- it doesn't feel like something too far fetched from what I've seen in the Bible and what I've learned.

Actually its the English translation for Satan. Satan is actually several different angels in the Bible. Non denominational churches do tend to go outside of canon which is what I think is alluded to here. Not necessarily excluding that they might still be funneling people to the strangers.

I was thinking and thought of a theory for the church. The church may be working alongside the strangers in the forest to give them more people to kill. I mean a church is a place where a lot of people gather to worship, so it would give the strangers much more humans to sacrifice to that monster they worship. The monster located in the church's basement may be another form of demon, the forest is weird enough and it is possible that the monster is some sort of demon henchmen for the big demon under the ground or something like that. The monster in the basement seems very powerful since it was able to break free of its chains, kill Luc, and survive a gun shot. The monster demon thing under the ground seems like that only a bit of it may emerge at a time and the holes that were seen in carpenters dream and at 25:07 in the video may be holes that the monster comes out of or holes than the strangers circle around to feed humans to the monster. The whole part about the strangers feeding humans through the hole is that in carpenters dream we see strangers surrounding the hole and we know that the monster lives beneath the surface. I at least hope a bit of my theories is correct but idk.
