It's a shame that there isn't really a moveslot available for Mega Drain on Arbok vs Giovanni, maybe the Rhydon wouldn't have been so dangerous if it could've fit in. Great runs though, super interesting to see Weezing do things compared to its prevo!

I really want to state how much I appreciate the amount of efforts you put into getting an optimal run for every pokemon so that you can really compare their times at their best. That's the one thing that made you my favourite poketuber. I started watching you when you started because I liked your optimism and general positive energy, but you were definitely someone I watched on the side when I had spare time. Now your gen 1 & 2 videos are by far the ones I look forward to the most. (not gen3+ because I never finished playing those games so I can't really follow them the same way) So anyways, thanks for doing all that work for the most polished results you can get. 39:13 regarding the time wasted opening the bag: What I usually do when I have these sort of chaotic orders, is break them down in smaller lists or brackets. For Pokémon there exist lists of items appearing on each route/ in each city. You can use those as a baseline, clean the ones you never pick up, and place the remaining ones in order of how you would normally do the routes. Since most routes and items stay the same for each Pokémon, OR the items are used immediately and will always be at the bottom of the backpack, you will essentially very quickly have a good understanding of where the item should be in the item list. And from that, you will quickly learn where it is exactly. It's low hanging fruit regarding preparation time, but could safe a lot of time (and your nerves since you don't think you waste time anymore). Hope this helps. Also, thanks for the runs
@bateltheassistant Жыл бұрын
Nicely done, that was one of a kind versus race. 😮Weezing had surprised me the most with it's raw damage output alone. It is definitely a force to be recon with. But Arbok was not so far behind with warp and mimic. Muk is getting better I guess in gen 2, or so I hope.. I betting on muk basically because of its stats alone,and because of acid armour.😊 But I guess that's why these kind of videos are always fun to watch. Thanks for the Halloween treat.😊

Absolutely incredible. What a fun video! After watching nearly every video. (Live one’s are tougher to watch as I usually listen to you while working) I’m noticed that move sets really hinder Pokémon. Even with it’s awful stats I think even Magikarp would do well with better moves. Obviously it would be silly and time consuming to try but I’d love to compare some Pokémon if we gave them the “perfect” move set for every major battle. (Growth rate is also a factor but I don’t think it’s as detrimental as not having access to a good move set)

Two observations, mainly with Arbok - don't think it'll change the time much but might add to the consistency: 1. When you've wittled down their health with wrap, you don't need the damage output from rock slide. Use earthquake to guarantee the KO instead of risking a 10% miss. I've noticed you do it a lot with other play through as well using a non 100% move when you have a 100% move that is strong enough to knock them out. 2. This is less important and might not actually be useful, but I noticed you stopped using mega drain on the second playthrough. Obviously it wasn't necessary in the end but you could increase the consistency even in a couple battles like Giovanni's Rhydon or Lorelei as an example. Not sure if holding onto earthquake to give yourself a move slot is worth it for that long but figured I'd throw that in there. Otherwise, the optimisations are getting very good. Over time you might find something better but fantastic job with what you have so far! Crazy video, great effort. For all our sakes, please keep looking after yourself, that one must have been exhausting!

@pommyadam Жыл бұрын
honestly starting with Absorb (and then Growth at level 4) will REALLY help Sunkern out, as well as getting Mega Drain at level 10 other than Falkner, it basically becomes a healing wall then throw in some sunny day / synthesis stuff (and the ability to learn SludgeBomb), and you can potentially "wall" out the opponent for a bit - it's not completely awful and has a fairly linear moveset (Curse/Growth, Return, Synthesis, SludgeBomb/MegaDrain) which it will mostly have post-Morty for the entire game

I feel pretty confident that weezing is going to win, since he has the best base stats, it starts with sludge and 60 speed should be able to outspeed almost everything thanks to EVs and the koga badge boost. He also has a decent special movepoll which is nice for certain fights. I also predict that muk will be the worst due to its limited movepoll, while arbok will do decently thanks to earthquake and wrap. With that being said, I’ll get my popcorn ready, and thx scott as always for the quality content.

It'll be a Halloween miracle 🎃 idk who will take it though. Muk won't get minimize, so that'll almost completely negate what it does. Acid armor could put it in a league of its own, though. I think arbok may be too frail to do super amazing unless it learns agility or something. Idk. Let's see weezing take it home!!!
