The narrator for these three records, was Peter Fernandez; the voice of Speed Racer.

As a kid in the '70s, this was my KZbin. I had a few of the Power Records, but probably read along to the Frankenstein one dozens of times -- at least.

This record and the five-issue Marvel series it was taken from are still for my money the truest adaptation of the novel to date.

Always thought this depiction of the monster was the most frightening of all time. Huge, muscular, rock hard gray/dead-skin, cunning, brutal, and the red hair works too!

I had this record when I was a kid from the 70s. This wasn't the end of the monster by a long shot. He had his own Marvel comic book series. He fought Dracula and even teamed up with Spiderman. I've even seen him in a modern-day Avengers cartoon where he works with a team of other monster superheroes.

It's great to see this again. I had a few Power Records comics and records when I was kid. This is my all-time favorite. I listened to it frequently and loved it every time. What made me love it even more is that is very faithful to Mary Shelly's novel. Thank you very much for posting. I love it!

I had most of the Power Records collection back in the '70s, and the monster stories were among my very favorites. Now that I've rediscovered them on KZbin, I enjoy listening to these at work. Thank you very, very much for uploading this!

This Adaptation was actually very Faithful to Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. A lot more than many of the Movies.

I actually feel deeply sorry for the monster. All he wanted was to be accepted. But humanity feared him, and he hated his creator for bringing him to life in his condition. So the monster was understandably bitter.

Nice video - this fits almost exactly as a condensed version of Mary Shelley's novel - a few differences - we don't see the framing device of the ship and Frankenstein telling his story to the captain, but that has little impact - the largest omission is the bargain the monster makes w Frankenstein to make him a bride - that happens during their initial meeting, and Frankenstein almost completes this, but then changes his mind at the last minute and destroys her, triggering the Monster's further revenge - another change is that Frankenstein dies at the end, due to his exposure to the elements, and the Monster appears and weeps over him, and then departs w the intention of committing suicide by fire - really, the novel is about the consequences of poor parenting, and this video captures that
