Really? I just read this one now but I posted a comment in response to it beforehand. It is one of the real flaws when it comes to suspension of disbelief. The creator is a genius when it comes to certian aspects but is very out fo touch with spacial awareness and related details. I did the calculation to be sure and you can see the results in my comments, but even before hand it felt very silly and unbelievable with the dimensions he gave. I could suspend the disbelief of the behavior and even the stooge antics in a row but covering a space with a 3 miles radius in the conditions given..? You don't need to be a genius to immiatedly realize there was no way such a volumous amount of people would be able to male it over to a specific city in Egypt from the US in a few days time, let alone during a diplomatic snafu this life one, all gather in one area unhinged the entire way ot was required to do so and allow all this to happen..also while being inescapably shut-in within that time, again in a space with a 3 mile radius...I don't think the creator understands how big the area is that he described, how many people it would take to fill it to the point it matched his description, how many resource, people and the amount of time it would take to block off this area to trap everyone who had entered..all the hundreds of millions of them..this is a very Sci fi ARG with clear fantastical elements but this is a case of mundane basoc logic being ignored so it really stood out to me like a sore thumb. It's the same with the siren ramp. How many people, specifically technicians, would it take going up on top of the bodies of each other and collapsing at those points just further than the last to make a dogpile high enough to mound around this without maybe deciding its best not to do this in this manner? Ok. Let's suspend the disbelief that they would not just get a cherry picker and soundproof gear first witch did exist..but all foolishly just charge in over and over as they did..and that there were so many air raid sirins vapeable of reaching decibles that could deafen anyone in a mile radius but not kill/incapsitate them before they got right up under it, across America to affect everyone, without being suspicious for a small terrorist group to do with each one in the time period this occured and turning eyes on the government itself..but on top of that, there were enough technicians readily avilable enough to rush in on just ONE of these sirens and provide enough bodies to make the human platform described? The creator has a peculiar habit of describing scenarios where volumous spaces get filled with corpses or bodies in specific tight manners that are just impossible to any level of base logic. It's a very peculiar and specific writing flaw to have that makes it stand out especially bad.

I loved the concept of the Monument Mythos during its initial episodes. Such a cool concept for an unfiction series: an alternate timeline where all the national monuments where nothing but cages to unspeakable monsters and horrors, kept secret by the government. It had so much potential starting off. But as more episodes came out, I felt as if that premise became less and less about the monsters and more about creating a bizarro universe where supernatural and fantastical events just happen and we are being shown what those events where. Something so simple as "monsters hidden inside monuments" spirals into absolute insanity involving parallel universes, murderous statues, religions around a living shipping vessel, lightning glass, ethereal beings made of radiated soldiers, James Dean the super president/super villain and ending with an anime showdown that results in the total collapse of the universe. Suffice to say, I did not expect the story to go so far off the rails like it does and I can't say I am a fan of that.

I'm confused how you reached the conclusion that TFMDs were made or set up by the government, unless there are other details supporting that that I've missed? The slide at 21:32 states that Maize collaborated with the Department of Defense to initiate a system for controlling them, suggesting that the TFMDs were already a known phenomenon prior to that, which makes sense if the term covers most supernatural things happening in this setting, such as liberty lurker,, which had been active long before Dean took power, as well as other earlier events like the building of the Washington Monument and the establishment of the guardians in the Grand Canyon. It seems like the TFMD term was at some point expanded greatly to give the DoD and Maize free reign to interfere with whatever they wanted though, since the term later included global warming and humanity as a whole. You also state at around 1:19:30 that the ancient Egyptians didn't have Giza glass, when the preceding clip explicitly said that the guardians were equipped with Giza glass weaponry, but that it was insufficient to cut down the trees. I'm also not sure how you concluded that the American Giza Guardians were there to make the trees grow taller? Nitpicks aside, great series and thank you for introducing me to this fascinating piece of media.

This is an AMAZING ARG. Having said that..the Cairo exclusion point part is a bit poorly thought out. I can suspend disbelief witht he stoogelike series of events..but..he says the radius is 3 miles but it was so full the sun could not poke through to evaporate the liquid on the ground in Egypt and people were trampling each other by just trying to move since they were so close. Now..I calculated the surface area in square miles given what we had. Next I looked up the amount of surface area a standard grown adult takes up while standing. This was estimated mostly at 2 feet without accommodations for personal space, with one saying 3 feet instead. I went with the high estimate to give more slack, converted the surface area from square miles to square feet and divided by three..this came out to 262,707,456 people required to fill the space. I get that people rushed here to get free stuff and that number could even be cut if we want to be generous; saying there was more wiggle room, but..I have a hard time believing over a hundred million people could make the pilgrimage to Cairo from the US in a few days time and be allowed through to do all this so it could happen this way. Lol That is not as much as one may think but still A LOT of people in the given circumstances. The 262 million is over 2/3 the population of the entire US and more than the entire population of countries like Russia and Mexico. A 3 mile radius space is a A LOT to fill with bodies to the point they act as dominos with no stopping it.

Is it possible for sirens to get to such a loud decible of sound as to deafen anyone in a 4 mile radius? Were there that many sirens to make this occur acrosss the entirety of the US like this? So many aspects of this ARG are masterful, but again I feel the creator had real spacial understanding issues and didnt do the research to even get close to believable on some of this..i think his percetion if space, the number of humans typically contained within and the general scope of areas liek the US is very off. Maybe in a large city, if the decibles could be reached to the effects mentioned, I can see most going deaf but I feel there would be nowhere near the sirin coverage at the time to even cause most people in the US to go deaf. Part of the point of Radios and TVs at the time was to ensure word was spread if there was a nuclear bombing since sirins werent just everywhere. No matter how loud they were in person, the TV or radio itself would limit the output of the broadcast though it. Only the actual sirens would even potentially be able to do this in this senario. Keeping in mind, these would all need to be federal government santioned sirens. In the event of a bombing, in addition to local radio/tv broadcast, it would be expected for local servixes with their own alarms to sound them to spread the word. These would not be triggered or capable of having the same affect. I think the creator is confused on just how many military issued fallot alarms were active in the use and to what distribution at the time. Lol And again..the body pile tower..how many people does the creator belive it would take for something like that to occur at just one siren? There is a population problem fir suee but I cant belive the US would have anyone left if these oddly specific tragedies where large volumous areas being packed with corpses, occurs.

What I don't get is, why didn't they get a fleet of Cargo Helicopters to snag the cargo off the Suez Canal Crab? I'm sure they had them at the time so they could pluck containers off it's back as it walked to avoid losing it all.

It was mentioned that low-flying aircraft caused the crab to become unstable, so they didn’t want to risk everything being dropped into the ocean or anything like that

I love your vids but dude you HAVE to start clapping when you want to cut. That way, you will see a sudden spike in your audio wave when editing, so you wouldn't repeat yourself. I know this is two years ago but on your recent vids it was worse. Love your channel, your narration and everything else ♥

8:30 why are there modern European borders? Isn't this supposed to be in an alternative universe pre-WW1? It wouldn't have been a problem if they had just removed the borders.

Maybe Virginia was reincarnated because it's said that people who are reincarnated are able to remember their past lives

Tbh James Dean did nothing wrong, after the air siren incident members of the ADA would be lucky to just get sent to alternate realities. They ended/heavily harmed the lives of millions of people
