Having seen many tutorials on KZbin, this chap is by far one of the best. Simple explanations and no fluff. His singing is also MUCH MUCH better than others lol.

I've recently turned 64 and took up guitar just over 18 months ago. This is the best cover/tutorial of this song I have found by far although I can't really play or sing it yet (probably won't stop me trying it out during my weekly spot at mum's dementia care home sooner rather than later!). I really like the whistling - very pleased I started practicing whistling last year too! I'm still having difficulty getting the string melody part up to speed but I think I've worked out an easy(ish) way to superimpose it on the strum and thought my description, if you're ok with it, might help others. It seems that the strum pattern is generally D_DUDU D_DUDU but to produce the melody I can instead strum Dsus2 D_DUDU as usual then DUDUDU as below: D - mute 1st string at 2nd fret, U - 1st string open, D - 1st string 2nd fret, U - 1st string 3th fret, D - 1st string 2nd fret and finally U - mute 1st string again. I suppose it's better still to miss the 1st string rather than mute it but i'm not there yet.

Always amazes me how some of the most awesome songs are composed with the simplest of chords. Thank you for all these wonderfully clear tuts, and to make sure that one can actually *see* where you put your fingers. Great teaching. You've played pro (or still do) in a band, I'm sure. Very much appreciated!!!

Love the tutorial. One of my top ten songs. Just bought the Epiphone Esonic2 version of your guitar. Great sounding guitar. As an acoustic, clear and precise with rich tones, but linked to an electric and acoustic amp (dual sockets) its limits are boundless. Fantastic range of sounds.
