This brought back such good memories that i got a bit tearful. One of the most emotional songs ever recorded, and you did such a fantastic job of recreating it.

I've been listening to their albums recently, my parents always liked The Moody Blues. A beautiful melody, very useful on this hot evening. Mentally... In my opinion, there is something medieval about this melody. It's like a ballad. Of course, in the electronic version.

Yes, that's the sound our parents heard in their youth. But it's also a timeless sound. Very moving across many generations. A real classic. It puts you in a good mood. Melancholy and yet full of power. Have a nice weekend ✌️☀️

My parents were avid listeners of the Moody Blues. They had several albums of theirs and they especially loved “Nights In White Satin”. They played the tapes when I was growing up. We even went to a MB concert back in 1991. It was their Keys To The Kingdom tour.

Your reputation is no longer to be made for a long time. :) An excellent interpretation of this timeless hit. The sound of the Oberheim flute is really stunning!

Thanks a lot for your kind words. 🙌✨🎹 The flute is a sampled Mellotron sound. The same as from Strawberry Fields Forever by the Beatles

Love the sound of that synth. I not seen that one before. It’s strange because you think you know your synths and you don’t. So many synths that was great but overshadowed by the Jupiters, Junos, DX, CS, etc that you didn’t notice them. Fantastic demo you done of this song and sounds just like the original but all done of synths. Amazing job you done there getting it spot on. Once again you blow me away with your talent. As always fantastic channel and beautiful work you do. Thanks for sharing with us. You’re a very talented man at what you do, love your work and thank you my friend.

Thank you so much for your time and your kind words. I really appreciate it. I use here the Mellotron samples like the original song. So is the sound very similar. I love the melancholic sound character. Happy weekend 🙌

Man, is this cool. I was just playing a trivia game with myself (something which I probably do too much) about the evolution of electronic orchestration from the Wurlitzer theater organ to the modern-day sampler and everything in between like the Mellatron and Chamberlin. When I saw the Oberheim Xk, I half expected to see in the description that you were playing the Emulator II or even (brace yourself) the Oberheim DPX1 sample/playback module. Ever get your hands on one of those little monsters? I once had an opportunity to get one based on an ad I saw it an electronic instrument servicing company, but I overlooked it.
@retrosound727 ай бұрын
The DPX1 was very cheap in the 90s. I saw the module often on marketplaces ebay in the web. These days expensive and rare to find. But I use today the EII with a gigantic sample library on SD card. So I have maximal flexibility. Thank you!
