@@f.herumusu8341 Sven Dohrow von den Twins hat gerade einen 3rd Wave gekauft. Als Ersatz für seinen PPG wave. Er ist damit ziemlich zufrieden. Im Bassbereich kann er nicht ganz so tief grollen wie der PPG, aber der ist schon sehr gut. Zu B, da bin ich ein ganz ungeeigneter Fürsprecher. ;) Ich würde es selbst anspielen und dann entscheiden.

So weit ich es gehört habe, bekamen Pat Metheny und Lyle Mays beide ein Synclavier von der Filmfirma hingestellt, damit sie am Soundtrack von "The Falcon and the Snowman" arbeiten konnten. Das ist eines der Stücke, das dabei heraus kam. Einer der damals und wahrscheinlich auch noch heute teuersten Synthesizer (Preisgrößenordnung im Vollausbau ~50.000 - 100.000 US$) ... und die mussten ihn sich noch nicht mal selber kaufen! :D Hier ist eine Doku in der Pat Metheny in bisschen über die Arbeit am Soundtrack erzählt und sein Synclavier vorführt (ab 7:23) kzbin.info/www/bejne/oavEf6V3mq-tmq8

@@retrosound72 Ja, Anthony Marinelli hat ja auch gerade eine ganze Serie über die Entstehung von Michael Jackons Thriller Album gemacht. Da ist das Synclavier auch an allen Ecken und Enden zu hören. Wobei ... ich da am lustigsten fand, dass nach Jahrzehnten, in denen jeder seine "perfekte Rekreation des" Thriller-Basssounds auf dem Minimoog präsentierte herauskam, dass es ein ARP 2600 war. Der Minimoog kann nun mal keine PWM via Envelope.

The lofi harmonic ring sound are very strange on this proto sampler, it's raw like an E-mu emulator 1 the terminal seems to be not so user friendly like the Synclavier II it was a studio secret that cost a fortune, the Akai MPC 60 or the Mirage from Ensoniq made those more affordable for everyone .

Some sample are realy great on this but compare to an Emulator 2 or a Fairlight it was even more lofi and filtered, but this stuff have potential back then, Depeche use those on there album a Broken Frame .

Very well done! Just goes to show how powerful a synthesizer can be. During her concerts where this is played literally when the first note drops people start crying their ass off . Not sure if it's the people that have AIDS or people that just love the music

Those vintage Juno 106 strings sound amazing even thru my crappy smartphone speaker. I attempted to copy this patch on my Boutique JU06A but these synths sound far superior
