You are not alone in your struggles, and we find ourselves drawn to the same places. Horror? To some extent. Solace, yes. You might also find relief in listening to Big Clive. Watching the bearded Manxman dissect weird electronic devices while listening to his soothing voice can be a strong somnificant.

Ah, so that is why I forgot it. The locale was fantastic, the plot was tense, the mystery fascinating and it ends... with frogs. A bit underwhelming, and perhaps overexplained.

Omg I am so excited - RW Chambers is one of my absolute favorites! I’m a medievalist, and I have worked on MR James and especially Tolkien. Chambers is so brilliant and has been so neglected (until fairly recently)
