Genshin impact is at it again with the book Perinheri which came and made waves in the lore community, Now Sumeru's archon quest , the Aranara quest and the battle pass cutscene make a bunch more sense.

Seeing your video, I always think back to the bottleland (3.8 event), where everything within the lands are just projections of the memories stored within the Streaming Projector (stated by Idyia herself). So, what if the Moons are just giant Projectors? And Constellations are film stocks? That will make the whole Teyvat is just a screening, a stage to play what has been written in a script.

It's interesting that you came to that conclusion because there is something else I didn't mention in the video because I couldn't figure out where it fits yet. But the same Aranara who tells us about the mawtiyima forest talks about a thing called the Ad Oblivione that is metal scary grinding thing that takes memories out of the world, harvesting them. And it's connected to the winds of time. It was all intriguing but it was too cryptic to figure out what he meant or where it fit. But it's sounds eerily similar to what you're talking about.

Considering the Aranara referred to Paimon as a moon, you're probably not far off. She's theorized to be one of the moon sisters and there's a good amount of evidence to back it up, that or she's the primordial one.

@vlorggy I've started to move away from the idea that Paimon is possibly the PO, but if she is, she's probably not the PO that attacked the original Dragons who I believe is an imposter (Demiurge) pretending to be the real PO. The sparkles/constellations and colors all around Paimon along with the symbol on her that says true/real, plus the fact that she is the mascot and possible real main character, seems to be more than enough information to prove that she is either the true holy PO, or someone that serves under it. Paimon is op.

​@@Skylight-nn9cl I believe Paimon is the true Primordial One, not the impostor or the Demiurge/Yaldabaoth, or whatever they call the current ruler in Celestia. She was likely overthrown, betrayed, and erased from everyone's existence in the past. Moreover, Mihoyo is definitely cooking up something big with her later on, considering she is the game's mascot. Undoubtedly, she will have her Kiana moments later on. We just don't know when that will happen, but I firmly believe it will. One thing that strengthens my belief in Paimon as the true Primordial One is a passage in one of the traveler's in-game profile texts: "The keeper is fading away; . But the world shall burn no more, for you shall ascend." I interpret "the creator" here as likely referring to Paimon, and in the end, she will probably enable us to ascend to divinity. This interpretation aligns with the notion mentioned in one of the developer notes that "humans originally have a higher purpose than the Adepti", and thus humans can possibly achieve divinity. The current system likely prevents them from achieving that.

Well, I don't know how reliable his words are, but Clothar, the founder of the Abyss Order, did say "we fell into a fairytale world," where his son now has to be a "little monster;" but at least they are now together... Like, rejecting the fairytale and being born from the union of one from the fairytale and reality turns the people into monsters. Kind of like a large-scale version of dream-world from Nahida's first story quest where the "false" people all became monsters. MiHoYo does like reusing themes and uses past stories the Traveler experiences to metaphorically hint towards future stories that will be told.

I think pyro represents death because of Hu Tao’s animation uses butterfly’s and these are also seen in the pyro cube animations. The lava walker set talk about a Phoenix. ch5 is called Ode of resurrection.

Thanks for the video, but there is one thing missing in it - motives that would explain why the world of illusions was created. I don't know if everyone is really dead. I think the abyss is most likely the real world, the reality that is constantly trying to break into the illusion. This is hinted by the fact that melusines see the world as it is. A dog that appears instead of a rifthound in a book quest. It also explains very well why Sibling is with abyss order because it is the real world, the reality. Maybe in reality abyss order doesn't look like we see them. The illusion is likely to distort creatures that enter the illusion and are not bound to Irminsul. Although that doesn't explain why the twins don't look like monsters. hmm...

Rainbows and invisibility are incompatible; an object has to reflect light to have colors, and invisible objects let light through them.

Simply put… Teyvat is Dream Zanarkand summoned forth by the dreams of they Fayth… the fayth that we find in mount gagazet that summons zanarkand is the irminsul tree… the aeons who safeguard the secrets of dream zanarkand that are summoned by the summoners are the archons…. And celestia is sin and yu yevon is phanes…. The ahlbed is khaenri’ah…. And the traveler is Tidus who witnesses everything as a spectator but one who will judge how the story and the fate of the world will end…. And the abyss is actually the real world encroaching on the dreams created by irminsul.

I think you are on the right track with Pyro, considering that there will be a rebirth (someone/something dies and is born again) for sure in the story of Natlan. Perhaps it is tied to the alchemical term rubedo? From wikipedia: "Both gold and the philosopher's stone were associated with the color red, as rubedo signaled alchemical success, and the end of the great work." Also: "The rubedo stage entails the attempt of the alchemist to integrate the psychospiritual outcomes of the process into a coherent sense of self before its re-entry to the world" sounds very much like rebirth, the soul returning to the physical. Also also: "The symbols used in alchemical writing and art to represent this red stage can include blood, a phoenix, a rose, a crowned king, or a figure wearing red clothes." Our first five star Pyro character famously has a phoenix in his burst soooo yeah.

Outrider Amber, Bennett's fantastic voyage, Diluc's long period of absence, Dehya and Gaming are traveling guards. We meet Yanfei and Xiangling abroad. Thoma has settled abroad. Hu Tao guides spirits in the afterlife in her story quest. The Spantamad Darshan has pyro associations and their blurb says something along the lines of "when they're not conducting reaction experiments, they're traveling in the field."

@@stellarmelody2784 Absolutely, Genshin's story is the story about enlightenment, and it's traveler's enlightenment. But of course the game has underlying mean throughout their storytelling. What I'm saying is Istaroth could *lead* these 'underlyings' to be more clear (?). Everything would be back to 'one' and if one side of this story is on traveler's POV, then the rest and the hidden ones are on her. (in my opinion)

Well....I believe that as 4 shadows are: Goddess/ Ruka/ Paymon/ Seelie.I have a little theory about identities. Unknown goddess/ Counterpart Herrscher of void/ Arya. Let us remember that ancient Khraun-Arya was possibly the nation that worshiped the crimson moon. The goddess's current color palette resembles the concept of a crimson moon, being a solitary moon, after the death/disappearance of the others. Arya in the musical concept means solo song, like this as only the unknown goddess remained. Ruka (Nahida)/ Istaroth/ counterpart of Thereresa apocalypse and Cecília Shariach. Rukadevata is the holder of the knowledge of new Sansara, just as she showed in the tale of the celestial tree, and when was reborn as Nahida. She would be Canon. In music it means repetition, which brings us to the concept of continuity (new Sansaras through time) Paymon/ (?) I have a suspicion that it could be Kaleen's counterpart, not based on evidence, but I will explain in the next shadow. Paymon it would be Sonnet, a small song, a reference to its reduced state, after the fight with its sister moons. Seelie/ counterpart of Seelie Volerei/ Veliona/ true avatar of Irminsul.Seelie also means soul, and based on the Seelie's marriage to the traveler from afar, and the tale of the heavenly tree, I considered some coincidences about the "gardener" and the tree with the greatest power. If we understand that Pahnes recreated Teyvat, and replaced the dragons, I imagine he would leave a shadow responsible by Irminsul, since the archons appeared much later, and we only see mention of Ruka being her avatar. But before Ruka existed, who was responsible for controlling and protecting the tree? We only have two options: either Pahnes himself, or he would delegate the work to one of his shadows. The race of Seelies has always had its importance in Teyvat, guiding people, bringing treasures and knowledge. This kind of spiritual and material wealth would be perfectly understood if extracted from the tree, which held the essence of the world. Seelie being the "soul" of the tree, created a special race as well as Egeria and the oceanids. The concept is known around the world. Possibly she was the Seelie who was married in the lunar palace, in front of her sisters. But calamity followed and the moons came into conflict. I believe that at this point the power of the abyss has corrupted the only sister "left", Arya, making her the crimson moon, stained with blood. That was the moment the "pearl" was tarnished. Once in their original forms, the 4 shadows held the secret of another world, to "recreate" life, which Rinedonthir is seeking. The Crimson Moon Dynasty had the secret of alchemy, as they learned from the moons, and later improved in the crimson era. Remember what is said: wolves are children of the moon, and mourn the death of their mother.... The shadows next to Pahnes held the secret of life, death and rebirth, which were absorbed from a little-known place "sea quanta". Let's go back to Seelie and Honkai's counterparts. Note that the devs used counterparts that have a special connection with the Honkai power (our abyss), imaginary tree and the quanta sea. Kaslana family, Shariach, Sirin and Seelie Volerei had certain abilities that linked them with these elements. And whether they are elements that give rise to life's "pearl of genesis" creation, we are close to finding out What Phanes really is and what he was doing on the planet of Teyvat .

The sky is fake, the moon doesn't have phases because of it, and also it's probably the corpse of one of the moon sisters. Regardless if Sucrose said the moon is always full or not, we can see in game that it's always full. It's not just a game mechanic limitation, they could easily make phases but they don't because the sky isn't real, and Teyvat is separated from the actual planet it seems.

Not that there's anything particularly problematic about an always full moon in astronomy but there's at least one book that mentions the moon's phases by referencing something like crescent moon. The images of crescent moons that are all over the place in art work and Tsurumi island. Plus the waxing and waning moon of the Spiral Abyss only make sense if the moon goes through phases. Words like "crescent" "waning" "waxing" "gibenous" "full" and "new" wouldn't have any meaning. I mean the sun is indeed "full" all the time and for that very reason nobody ever made up a word for it. So if taken seriously the words you're saying would imply the moon used to go through phases until very recently and then stopped and that just seems unlikely. More likely Sucrose was just being metaphorical somehow. @@theunlikelygenshingamer

The game builds toward a time when AI can make NPCs come to life in new fantastic ways, what if that is a part of what the lore slowly builds towards- something where years of gameplay personality heuristics can be used to generate some spine tingling fourth wall breaking moments at build on what games like Metal Gear Solid 3 and some of its ilk were able to accomplish? The entire theory seems solid... at least until we take into consideration the _known_ - but not yet _understood_ - methods for entering Teyvat: 1. Through the *Celestial Atlas* (as in walking into the "title screen's door", like we travelers seem to do daily... so a 4th wall break?! OMG); 2. Through the *Looking-Glass* (as looking into the mirror and getting "copied" into Teyvat... as happened with *Aloy* and _maaaybe_ Alice); 3. Through the *Firmament* like shooting stars... either by accident or due to an *Isekai* summoning ritual (like the MC Twins); The 1st method would lead into a "virtual" space of sorts, corroborating to the theory shown in the video; the 2nd method would lead into a phantasy world ruled by magic, but still related to the "real" world - thus _not_ a controlled simulation or dream; the 3rd method would mean that Teyvat is a "real" physical place in the universe, even if it may be "cut off" or shielded from it (as Phanes _"used the eggshell to separate the 'universe' and the 'microcosm of the world.",_ and stuff), thus invalidating the "simulation" / "dream" theory proposed in the video at least partially... ... unless all are true and *Teyvat* turns out to be a physical place, cut off from the universe, mixed into a "phantasy" reality of sorts, for being created upon the *Light Realm / Asgard...* thus _also_ operating as an alternate reality to a physical world that is no more. ... ... Which seems plausible after all the "TWO WORLDS" talk that originated from Arlecchino's release in Genshin AND Acheron's release in Star Rail, as the duality of *Takamagahara X Izumo* ("the planet Izumo gave rise to humans"... while "Takamagahara was known as the abode of the heavenly gods") - both being half planets that circled a Black Sun - which has a dinasty in Genshin?! Rukkhadevata wasn't told to protect Irminsul during the cataclysm, she was supposed to go to Khaenri'ah with everyone else but didn't and went to go protect Irminsul instead. She was disobeying orders. I don't think the world of Teyvat is an illusion, yes it's a lie, that was established in the Unreconciled Event in 1.5. But I don't think it's the type of lie that you're saying, it would go against the multiverse Hoyo has been establishing. In Honkai Impact 3rd it was revealed that there are bubble universes, in fact a character (Welt) from Honkai Impact 3rd is in Honkai Star Rail. It's not a reused character that looks like him either (like with Himeko or Raiden Ei), it's actually Welt from HI3, he travelled from HI3 to the world of Honkai Star Rail, you can find that info on the Honkai Star Rail wiki. So he pretty much proves that multiverses are a thing. So Teyvat may just be one of the many bubble universes, but it's stuck in a samsara cycle.

a lot of stretching. using Nahida's words when she was trying to wake the Traveler out of the timeloop as some speach about the state for the world as a whole is a stretch. I don't get the Geo = Gold nonsense either. you've made a mistake with Zhongli. Zhongli is not a dragon, he used to be a God King, like King Deshret. There used to be 7 god kings, Zhongli is the last of them. It's why all his geo statues have a cubic element (not circular like the other elements), how his imagery is almost identical to King Deshret, Like King Deshret he's closely tied to cubic ruins/imagery, and gold. 3 moons, 7 kings, now 7 archons... The archons were celesia's replacement for the failed experiment with the god kings prior to usurper's return. Furthermore I think it's pretty obvious Celestia has been screwing with the akashic records which in turn makes large chunks of the history of Tevat highly suspect. Going back to Zhongli for a minute, there is a LOT of evidence for Zhongli not even being the origional geo archon chosen by celestia. See all 7 archons have been represented by a tree in their lands. Each tree directly tied to the current or in the cast the current archon is not the origional, the origional archon. without fail. there are two exceptions to this. One is Fontaine, it's tree is currently located in Sumaru, however lore wise that land it's on was part of the origional Fontaine, so it's not REALLY an anomoly. the waters rose and flooded the land between fontaine and sumaru, cutting off the southern lands of Fontaine which sumaru absorbed. Including the old hydro archon's tree. The other exception is the Geo tree, which has no relation to Zhongli, but rather Azhdaha, in fact it's a cutting from Azhdaha's tail. Azhdaha is in fact a geo dragon, and according to zhongli he went mad and forced zhongli to seal him up. It's highly likely Azhdaha was the original geo archon chosen by Celestia, and for "reasons" which we cannot confirm due to possible tampering with the akashic records by celestia, Zhongli became the geo archon. I suspect that Zhongli knows history has been fucked with, but since he's just as susceptible to the tampering of the akashic records he doesn't know HOW they've been fucked with. Which i think is why Zhongli refuses to discuss the past. He does not want to mislead the traveler by feeding him whatever false memory the records planted in his head. I think this tampering with the records is why Zhongli fears erosion so much he resigned as geo archon. He cannot trust his memories. As for zhongli, i believe his "dragon" imagery is just that, imagery. In china the symbol of the dragon was often used by emperors. He "became" the geo archon, and as an old God King himself, he wrapped himself in the imagery of a king, that of a dragon. I would also like to point out Zhongli's burst is legit identical in appearance to the cubic method the guardian of heavenly principles used to fight the travelers. This makes a strong case the original god kings were tied to Celestia in some way, perhaps even loosely related to the heavenly throne. in which case zhongli, being the last god king, likely is next in line for the throne of Celestia. That said most of the rest you had to say i think is right. I also believe that the world is a lie but i don't think everyone is dead. I do think the world is upside down though. Celestia has taken to naming it's archons after biblical demons/devils. That implies a few things doesn't it?

i can agree that the theory is pretty much debunked but the path is certainly correct, you can connect these thoughts with the fact that there were 3 moon sisters, personally the theory gave me more details for other theories that are pretty much writing themselves as the lore comes out and making more sense, since perhineri the connections with the real world, khaenri ah and the abyss grow stronger, because the abyss is not other than the universe, the space, and creatures that come from the space into the planet go through khaenri ah first, the nation that is facing the real sky, remaining underground to avoid leaking things into the nation, like descenders and knowledge from beyond the planet, the abyss order is just trying to make everyone realize that teyvat is a lie, khaenri ah tried to make this obvious and like you said, they paid for it, they dreamt of lumine, someone that could harness abyssal power (power from beyond the earth) and she did it, at the cost of knowing the true nature of the world, hence why she is against the heavenly principles, asides from it destroying her nation at the cost of this knowledge, she knows why they did it, this game's lore is so freaking amazing and deep

​@@shinobimanexe Also the sword next to the current turn resembles the twins' original swords. I remember some people say that Lumine's sword appears on the enemy's turn while Aether is during our turn, but that's not true at all. The swords alternate every 1-2 seconds with animation.

finally someone that shares my theory. The only 2 things remaining here is Zhongli. Irminsul does not affect him, he remembers rukhadevata (sorry if I did not spell it right, ehe) because the old storyline in in character story 5 says: only two remain of the first Seven. This has been alternated into: only two of the first Seven remain in positions of rulership. That means that he does'nt see Nahida as one of the original 7. In his first storyquest at the end, zhongli told the traveler that he needs a better recording of history to engrave its truth because history can be changed. Also Zhongli was there when the 3 moonsisters fell (he was still young when that happened). And last but not least: why can't we change the name of wanderer into the archons name morax while we can change it in buer, baal, ei and barbatos. I f the world is just an illusion, where does he fit in the story. Is he also a dragon (still my theory) or is he a remnant of a fallen world or maybe a descender. Second thing is: The seelie and the dragons, they still exist. the seelie withered because of great tragedy, but they can still be found. The remains of dragons from beyond the sky can be seen. The dragons that once ruled are used for their elements, so they also exist. how does that fit the theory of an illusion. Any toughts?

You're right. As I was working out this idea and discussing with some fellow players a question that kept coming up was how high does the illusion go. Who is still caught in it. I think the upper most level is the Primordial one and his shades. I think this is what Khanrieah was trying to prove by finding the book, before sun and moon. Theoretically anything subject to them would be a part of the dream. But it think the Archons and vision holders are slightly different. Concerning what I mentioned about Narzissenkreuz trying to appropriate the power of Wills and because in Fontaine a common theme was that if something was created by a powerful enough will it could actually become real. I think that vision holders are a step closer than most to be coming outright real. And the Archons especially so. They essentially are real but without the addition of forbidden knowledge. Of course this causes a problem. Are they actually dead or are they perhaps the avatars of sleeping individuals in true reality. Like in Penacony. As for the only two male Archons, I think their cases are very special. I don't think either of them is as affected by Irminsul as the others but have been heavily silenced. Not sure what exactly they are meant to be hiding. But the Aranara that mentions the Ad Oblivione, a strange terrifying memory harvesting machine that Grinds and scrapes,really makes me wonder if Teyvat is a gigantic operation like the Akademiya's Sabzeruz festival.

@@theunlikelygenshingamer The vision holders. I hadn't thought about that myself. I mainly think that they are given a vision to ensure that they do not look too far for the truth. through the vision, celestia has control over that.

i came only to comment about the title.. i will not even watch the video because the title itself is kinda dumb. If the traveler wanted to do that.. why did they got stopped when they were leaving in the first place? lol How dumb would it be, to keep beings that want to destroy a planet forced into that planet?
