Goku’s tail actually did come back before after Gohan ripped it off, it appeared in the tournament with Tien if you remember. It’s just that Kami permanently removed it, though we don’t know how. This whole situation with Piccolo electrifying Gohan and Gohan transforming is a nod to when Jackie Chun electrified Goku and he transformed.

@Ciffer-1998 Actually, it doesn't make sense because it's bad continuity. First: Why now does it project a moon after all this time? The whole point of Kami restoring the moon was so that Gokus tail was permanently removed. Second: Piccolo and Gohan just happened to be where the site Goku landed? Really? Third: saiyans have other ways to get the moon's effect.

The reason why saiyan space ships project a moon is because if planet a saiyan wants to conquer has no moon. They can artificially project one, to unleash their full power.

So much so that the battle later on would've turned out completely differently if this projection thing was canon. Also, Saiyan babies are sent to Planets with known moons. When Saiyans take over planets, they usually time their attack with the planets full moon cycle in mind.

Try to keep in mind most of these episodes before Vegeta and Nappa are packed to the brim with filler, so the whole Gohan transforming into an ape because of a projection is a part of that which is why it doesn't make a lot of sense.

I think Gohan's Saiyan instincts kind of starting waking up when he transformed during the full moon and Saiyans typically get more aggressive the more times they go Great Ape that's what I think and that whole thing with Raditz was the trigger for it all in this ep

Goku tail has grown back multiple times in dragon ball the last time is when he went to the look out with Mr. Popo when it did the whole skip of the training thing that got rid of his tail for good I don’t know if they did something to keep it from growing or maybe the more it get ripped off it doesn’t grow back I don’t really know maybe someone else can explain it because i can’t lol anyways awesome video give you a like and full watch time keep it up

I'd assume the pod did it every night. It was far away from them early on so they never saw it until they finally came within vicinity. It's in the middle of nowhere so yeah I'm not surprised no one has seen it. It's ultimately just a projection so you wouldn't see it from far away. And idk why you said Goku's tail grew back twice. It was cut off by Puar and pulled off by Gohan. Yet it didn't completely go away until Kami intervened with it
