He turned the kids in to ChildProtective Services cause he couldnt provide for them and (at least in the Japanese Version) he realized with their stealing, he was raising them to be criminals. Also Gohan leaves cause he realizes going home means he wouldnt be able to help Chi-Chi.

Ahh, no, he knew that the goal was to have the kids a better life, and he prolonged it way too long by preventing the kids from having a family (parents, etc), similar to Gohan's decision to go home and ignore the sayains and his training. Piccolo was just observing to see if he's ready. He can't force Gohan. So overall, the whole point is for Gohan to realize that he has one mission and should stop prolonging it.

The teenage orphan giving up on the kids was actually the most selfless thing he could have done. He said, "They need a REAL home." He knew they couldn't grow up stealing and living without education all their lives. Best case scenario is him hoping those kids would end up adopted eventually if they ended up in another orphanage and then learn proper manners and etiquette. He made a tough call and cried because he knew those kids lives would be better without him and it was a good call in my opinion. The only way it would be a bad scenario is if the kids would be forced to do slave labor which Suzy mentions but that's up for debate. I think they caused so much trouble for society that they had to use force. From their perspective it looks like the end of the world, but from a perspective of adults the teenager had enough reasoning and common sense that this was a small amount of pain for their greater good.

? He heard them in awe of gohan telling his experience of having an actual home and realized he couldn't give that to them and they needed it. Those people weren't there to hurt the kids, they wanted to take them away to give them an actual life away from the ruins. They're portrayed as evil because that's how the kids were taught to see them. The teen abandoned them because he knew they would be better off and gohan understood this after a while, he wouldn't have left them if he thought they were in actual danger

For your question at the beginning of the video, Yes Kami's Lookout. "The Ramen Bowl" as you call it, Even though for me it always looked more like a spinning top than a bowl, Is on top of Korin's tower and it is established that the only way you can get up is either with the power pole / having Kami's permission to go up there. Though even without the power pole Krillin and the others were already shown to fly so they don't even need the pole it to reach Kami's Lookout, and they don't really need to climb Korin's Tower to do that other than as a way to get extra training. The scene of them climbing Korin's tower wasn't in the actual manga and they are instead shown to already be at Kami's Lookout meaning they most likely have flown up there. Hopefully this explanation helped clear things up.

Pigero is a teenager and Gohan wouldn’t shut up so he punched him. It’s what they do. He left the orphans behind because every single one of them had been captured, it was impossible for him to save them all. If Gohan hadn’t saved him even he would have been captured. So he realized he can’t take care of them all by himself and that they would be better off taken care of by adults. Also he was most likely the one who told the kids that the adults would take them and make them work so of course the kids wouldn’t want to go with the adults.

They were saying Korin's Tower bc it's the first stop before you can even be allowed to go to The Lookout. "The Lookout" is where Kami lives and "Korin's Tower" is the base of the whole thing. They weren't wrong lol, they had to get to the tower first before getting to Kami's Also Goku hasn't used the power pole once in DBZ so far so it's safe to assume the pole is still in place where it was before

Suzy, they just skipped over the part at Korin’s tower. They were climbing the tower and then had to climb Goku’s Power Pole to get to Kami. Yajirobe didn’t tell them at first that they were getting training from Kami, so it was easier to say meet at Korin’s Tower, not to describe how Kami’s lookout is above. We just didn’t get to see Korin give them passage to the Lookout. The show didn’t want to repeat over that when it would be the same as when Goku got the bell.

Korins tower is the tower where Korin lives. On top of Korins tower is where Kami lives, it’s Kami’s Lookout. And the power pole is still connecting the two.

"Why did he just punch Gohan" I guess you might call it an example of tough love. It's a common thing in Japanese stories, to help get a point across in a dramatic manner. In short, Gohan was being hysterical, and that punch was meant to be like in movies where you slap someone to bring them back to their senses. It was a way of showing that Gohan needed to calm down and hear out the reason for why the kids needed to go with the child protective services, though it certainly wouldn't be acceptable in real life, there's a level of understanding that it ain't real life.

They’ll explain more of it, but they kind of hinted at it when Goku first got his powers from the divine water that they can sense power levels and it’s been something that’s going to be more apparent later on in the series, also the kids would have a better life with being put in those homes the stuff that they were talking about, was most likely just rumors made up to scare them away from going into those orphanages

Piccolo senses Gohan's power lvl (more-so when he actually does something meaningful), but he was fighting himself so wasn't really paying attention to Gohan as much. So when he realized that he's too far away to properly sense him, he went to get him back.

Here's the thing about tsunamis and flooding, the houses are not stable anymore. If those kids didn't get out that house would probably colapse and crush them. Not to mention being open to the elements. The broken windows, run down buildings, and roads are evident that anything could come in or break away. Bugs, snakes, wind and rain. It's actually a good thing those adults came, dispite them being jerks. Gohan knows that he needs to protect his mom not put her in danger if he stayed.

I think the answer about the kids and the teenager that was taking care of them is actually the opposite of what you concluded. I think that he had been being selfish all along and finally decided to let them go to what he knew to actually be a better home for them. At least that's the way that I always interpreted it.

They would probably have to work less than they did when they were on their own. Probably, it would be just some cleaning and such, while before, they had to work to survive. It wouldn't be long before they realized that cleaning a room for an hour is easier and better than running from the cops and scrounging for food every day.

On real life, the was no way to free the orphans. He is not goku or gohan. He is strong but he is still a kid and all those adults would overwhelm him. Actually, he was even caught but Gohan freed him. He made a realistic assessment and got the one he could save. He doesn't know about Gohan superhuman abilities. And I think they were taking them to an orphanage home... The chores are probably the regular chores that kids due there (cleaning, etc).

No, he was selfish when he was watching over them and making them steal to get by. A real orphanage is safer for them, with food and clothing provided... those weren't bad people, but they had to get rough with them to get them since they weren't cooperating.

It's weird how little of this arc I remember... I guess I either was too young, skipped some parts or barely any of this was in Kai when I rewatched 😮 But that means I'm discovering those episodes about as blindly as in your original DB reactions 😅 until the Saiyans show up at least. Oh and the Kikuchi score is way better than I thought for now, at least considering this part still feels like early DB... The Faulconer is mostly a good fit for the 3rd or 4th arc depending on how you count filler stuff
