Sheikh Karim’s audio is really noisy and loud it’s a little difficult to focus. Please fix audio levels or use a good mic if it’s possible. Or please use acoustic panels to dampen audio. Sheikh Uthman’s audio is fine. JazakaAllah Khair.

If July 31 is a Friday in Saudi Arabia, then July 31 in the United States will be Friday, although there is a time difference; Similarly, If the date of Dhū al-Ḥijjah 10 is 'Yawm al-Jumu‘ah' in Saudi Arabia, then Dhū al-Ḥijjah 10 will be Yawm al-Jumu‘ah in the United States, despite the time difference. This means that even though Americans fall asleep during Friday prayers in Saudi Arabia, they still pray Friday prayers on the same day. Only one day can be marked against a date in the calendar, and it would be unreasonable and impractical to use a calendar that shows one day in the US and another day in Saudi Arabia towards a date. The question that many ask is, whether to fast on the day of Arafat or on the 9th day of Dhū al-Ḥijjah. The question itself is unfounded because the day of Dhū al-Ḥijjah 9 in US should not be different from the day of Dhū al-Ḥijjah 9 in Saudi Arabia. But always follow your local community, and join with them

The problem with calculations is that it involves astronomy, scientific knowledge, equipment, and not everyone has access to these tools. But every single person except the physically disabled can use their eyes which Allah swt created for us. Sighting with the eye is a fair and equal way for everyone, also the Prophet saws said that the deen is ease. Mathematic calculations, computer monitoring of the moon, telescopes, etc are adding complications to something that was meant to be easy.

How many times we said the moon was not sighted and didn't start Ramadan but next evening when the moon was sighted and we knew the moon was 2 days old? Whether we see or not, moon will rise regardless ( question is whether it attains the visibility angle) and if we accept the logic of sighting to West is legit then use similar logic based on more precise calculation.

There is also the issue of Muslims here in the U.S. mainly so called Salafis and those who follow the Saudi sighting only instead of a hilal anywhere west of it.

Salams Shaikh. If calculations and fixing the month starts and ends solely on calculations is bidah then what do u say about the Umul Quran Calendar that is a calculated year on year for many years in advance. And then if u check for the last 20 years or so the ramadan Eid and HAjj in Saudi matches to this precalculated UQC. Why?? the public doesnt sight and u will get sighting claims to match UQC (based on brith of moon NOT visibility) from same usaual people in Sudair and Tumair??

Can sighting the moon using telescopes be accepted? Please someone respond. Because many times people can't see it with naked eyes, however using telescopes at the observatory the moon sometimes can be sighted.

Please get back to our comments because us as layman don't now. Sheik does that mean everyone that follows Saudi Arabia in the world is not the correct opinion rather following your own country region is the correct opinion? Also didn't saudi say don't follow us follow your own country moon sighting. Jaza Kala Khair.
