WAIT LEMME COOK I ONLY DO THIS FOR A COUPLE WHEN I HAV EMOTIVATION. so the video starts off with the words of “Moon and the sun”, ofc being the title of the song it reflects the polar opposites of Soukoku at times. The funny thing abt the moon and sun is the moon depends on the sun to have moonlight; whereas, the sun doesn’t need to depend on the moon to shine. Anyways, so it moves onto the words “Promise?” and “Promise.” Punctuation is important here as one is definitely asking the question to seal the deal, while the other has a period, illustrating the confidence in their answer. See, now Chuuya is seen as the moon because he blossoms to his best form when Dazai’s around. (U can take it theoretically in emotions or the fact that he doesn’t depend on Dazai when he uses corruption). I’d say sometimes Chuuya looks up to him (like the time when he always knew Dazai’s right) and would genuinely wait his turn to shine, which would never surpass Dazai (after all, he’s the demon prodigy). And Dazai, being the sun reflects his love and brightness onto Chuuya’s world, which disappears in cases where Dazai’s gone. Like I mentioned before, the moon can’t shine without the sun. Ok shit. But here’s the catch, there’s a rope hanging, so imma make the inference that his attempts went through one day and left Chuuya with no answers. And with the “you broke the promise”, it’s definitely how Dazai broke Chuuya’s promise to stay forever. And no reply from Dazai..bc he’s dead. Voila. Angst disguised in pretty edits 🎀
