Just a little note, my father designed the gear motor for the AMF pin spotters which you just enjoyed. Being a corporate employee he was not awarded the patent for the design, sad for our family I guess, but at least I can be proud of him for the design. I am 76 as you know so this was a while back, interesting you are still enjoying them and bowling in France. He lived in New Jersey, USA

I love history too! And it will be interesting to find out who were the owners of the house over the years, who were the builders and how many acres they had, what has sold off and what animals/livestock they raised. And if there were any wars or soldiers passing thru the land or staying at one point in history.

I researched my husbands family farm and found the original sale documented in a huge leather covered book like you would see in Harry Potter movies. The house is on the historic registry in Tennessee,USA. Your farm is bound to be a lot older and have some amazing history that I'm so excited to see. Have fun with your research!

Toby, remember that 90% of all history is waiting under piles of mud, branches, brambles, and grass. Have you ever watched any of the "Time Team" programs on KZbin? Try one or two of those to see if you like them. They're pretty good if you like history and archeology. I particularly like the programs searching for artifacts from the medieval period. Ask your Dad if he could take the family to Lascaux to see the prehistoric cave paintings. They are amazing!!!! Have a good week, Moon Family! Blessed Be!!

Loved that bowling sequence. Reminded me of 64 years ago bowling at the Princess Bowling Alley in Dagenham, the only saving grace of the place except for maybe the big lidos which I don't think are there now. Quick bowling tip for the young'ns- Point your thumb in the direction you want the ball to go in. Whichever direction your thumb is in line with when you let go, THAT'S where the ball will go. I just adore the ambient sounds of a busy bowling alley!! It's truly one of my favorite places!
