The thing that annoys me about this movie is that we never understand why she’s obsessed with him other than the fact that she thinks he’s hot/husband material. She just meets him at work as a new employee and suddenly she can’t live without him lol. Some background story about her character would have been interesting.

Go watch Fatal Attraction (1987), I liked Obsessed but the Lisa character is clearly inspired by Alex Forrest from that film. Fatal Attraction is 10 times better. I don't understand why no one talks about it, the plot is almost IDENTICAL. 🤦‍♂️ I remember seeing this movie on TV in 2009 and thinking "Omg they made a remake of Fatal Attraction with Beyonce"

I've had something like this happen with both men AND women. You say something nice, and suddenly they think you're in a serious relationship or you're best friends - and they don't even know your last name. They'll call you twice a day if you were naive enough to give them your number thinking they had lives and were normal. Then they'll start leaving nasty messages that if you don't call them back, they'll......$@+&. Men will leave notes everywhere - in your windshield, in your door. It's stalking. Some will call your office and say they're "worried" about you, then snicker when you tell them never do that again. Lisa had no one in this movie. I try not to tell anyone I don't know well my address, work numbers, they can get very hostile when you don't show interest. Women can start saying things like " I saw you come home early/late, I was wondering what you're doing. Are you OKAY???" If you get stuck with this type they call everyone you know, or your business. You can be in the midst of a project or in a meeting, they'll say they MUST speak to you- it's an EMERGENCY. Then they create some soap opera melodrama that WAIT- LET ME TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENED- AND NOTHING HAPPENED. Like Lisa in this movie. It's in their crazy, loveless head. They will Google your family's numbers- business and home.. Call people they think know you and tell them how CONCERNED they are about it all....they just don't UNDERSTAND, they say. What HAPPENED- why won't she call me? They usually have no significant other which is why they have so much time to devote to chasing imaginary friends. If you go somewhere , anywhere- they say things like "I didn't know you were going there, why do don't you tell me??". They have nothing, so you're it.
