I am literaly going to kill the next person who compares the mortal instruments to twilight. What happens in twilight? Nothing. Its just a stupid movie about a girl who likes a vampire. These books are amazing and full of action and are focused on so much more than the romance in them. Also the world is absolutely awesome and the plot is great and full of surprises and these are my favourite books ever.

I love Twilight. I like this series. I prefer Twilight it's all based on love, happiness and difficulties being together. This is somewhat more mature in the sense it is violent and harsher. Don't be so rude.

I tried reading Mortal Instruments when I was 12 and I found it hard to understand. I tried reading Twilight when I was 11 and I didn't like it at all. Last year, I became a Twilight fan, and I am reading MT again now. Right now I don't like it alot but I'm still persevering cos I want to know what happens.

No need to be hateful towards twilight! It's a movie about vampires love and sacrifice, and city of bones is definitely totally different, its very mystical and a different world. I don't understand why anyone would compare these two different stories and beings in the movies.

I just saw this movie again, I bought it on dvd and the entire time I was thinking about all the crap from critics I read about this movie. And I just don't see it. I kept over-analysing this movie and the fact remains: I loved it. Yes, they did change some important plot point and I wonder how they are gonne fix that, if they ever make City of Ashes, but in the end it was a fun and entertaining journey. I loved the action, the music, the pacing and especially the characters. I also like it when they change some stuff from the books so that I can rediscover the story while I already read it. So for me this was amazing; I'm gonne let my friend watch this to see what he tought of it, he's not a reader so it will be interesting to see how he experienced it.

As far as I know producers will make city of ashes and I`m curious how it will come out. They said, that they`ve made a mistake with city of bones, because they tried to make a film for very young girls and now they know, that in fact the books`re adressed to teenagers and young adults. I can`t wait, because the books are awsome :)

I haven't seen this movie yet, but I read the books and loved them. I don't want spoilers, but I hope that if they did change an important plot point that they'll do a good job fixing it, unlike what happened with my other beloved series The Inheritance Cycle. They screwed up the Eragon movie so royally it was just a bad comedy, and made it virtually impossible to make the sequel.

everyone says that Jamie(actor who plays Jace) is either really ugly or hate him because he wasn't meant for the role. I DISAPPROVE! everyone thought there will be either Alex Pettyfer or idk someone else more suited for the role but i really like Jamie because he is EXACTLY the opposite of what everyone wanted. For me, he is really suited for being Jace, so does for Lily as Clary.New, fresh, handsome, blond and really hot...a new cutie in the town* Its better to see someone new on the cast and not to hope only for those who are already famous and popular to act again, such as Kristen Stewart or Robert Pattinson...

The acting is fake, the special effects are puke, the script is bad, everything about it is just so unrealistic and the story isn't portrayed very well. I'll keep watching it out of curiosity but this show let me down.

I have to say, I watched the first episode of shadowhunters and I thought it was so bad, I have to be honest I love the books and I loved the film, I would of loved shadowhunters if they'd kept the same cast but I just thing they casted it bad, I had to be honest. No hate I just wished they'd kept the same cast, lily and Jamie were so good as clary and jace, can't stop watching the movie! Idk what everyone's complaining about, yes they changed it but I still think it's fantastic!!🙌🏼

It was written so badly, the lines were so cringeworthy. Somehow I'm glad they got themselves out of the franchise...

I think the role of clary in the series, she's a good actor, but I think they made the wrong choice for Jace in all honestly, I think the way most the characters talk make it hard to believe that it's a series, it's good in all but I think most of them are trying to hard, but I understand what your saying, I just think the finishing the films would be better than making the series I honestly think it'd be more interesting, and I think the series is gonna struggle to maintain there pace, I think the film is rushed but they can all act 😇

I'm just saying that I don't know the work of any of the actors of the series outside of the series, except for a few scenes of the "clary actress" in maze runner. So I can't judge that another cast would make it better. What I thought was the worst about the series were the lines and shot placements, they made me laugh numerous times, in moments that weren't supposed to be funny. Haha. I would really like if they continued with the films, same cast, same director, same screen writer, because I liked it a lot! Dare I say, more than the books :p

I seriously loved this movie. This is actually so underrated, it's sad. I haven't read the books but after watching this great movie, I'd surely read it. At first, when I watched this, I had no expectations, I haven't even watched the trailer, honestly (just now), and watched it in impulse. And damn, if I wasn't "wowed." I was speechless because all the actors in movie had done more than well with their acting, I couldn't even ask for more. As for Jace and Clary, they have that "chemistry." The animation (if that's what you call it) is done superbly, you could also see that the places they've shot at are beautiful and undoubtedly cost a lot. I'd give this movie more than 5 stars, not just because Jace is exoticly hot and so does Clary, but because the movie deserves it. It's even better than Divergent and I'm a Tobias Eaton number one fan, so that must say something.

Gosh, people, get yourselves together about Lily's eyebrows. They're perfect the way they are! When she was young she plucked them, and she felt as if she had completely ruined them. But she learned to embrace them, and her mom told her that 'It's the quirky things that make you beautiful'. Seriously, stop judging, none of you are perfect either. Anyways, can't wait for the second movie! I remember watching it last year with by bestfriends, and since then this has been one of my favorite movies ever, as well as the books! Love love love TMI

I have read all of the books and had been waiting for this movie for years!! yes the directors did change the movie from the book, but if it was exactly like the book then no one would pay £7.50 for a book when they can go see it for £3 in the cinema and it takes less time to watch than read...The first time i watched this movie i hated it because i was expecting to see it mirror the book perfectly, but it didn't, then i watched it again and i loved it because i knew it wasn't the same!
