You think? Honestly, his conversion of Ogun’s aggression into points with that stinger jab won him the title, in my opinion. Connected when it needed to and kept his opponent distanced. Beautiful work. If he got any more aggressive, Ogun’s bomb of a right would’ve taken his head off. Anyway, whether we agree or not, that was the best pure boxing match SB has ever had. Man, I love this channel. Keep it real and keep it going!

What an absolute banger of a fight yet again. Superb performance by Khi - he really knows his range exactly and succeeded in keeping Malik outside of his danger area. There's absolutely no doubt about it, if Malik gets inside, he'll outclass you if you can't handle short range exchanges. He's got power and dynamic movement for days. If he rounded out a little more by getting more comfortable with straight punches and perhaps a bit more mid-range striking on his way in, he'd be unstoppable. In this fight though, it was Technique over Power. Excited to see the final rematch in a few weeks time though - what an absolute treat the Scrapyard brings. Maximum respect to Firechicken and everyone in the team for putting on something inspirational to us all over the world, including my corner of sunny Greater Manchester!

Range and cutting him off, but notice Malik changed up from bulldozing, yet he's still blasting for a powerhouse knock out (air ball punches can still wear you down quick) and Khi stayed clear of it. Great performance and good sportsmanship.

@@nbk9372 Seems like Malik is used to getting his knock downs or knock outs rewarded, and is still adjusting to the long-term fight game. What a warrior, swallowing so many jabs in that fight and keeping his momentum and aggression up! I don't even think he got mad, but those swipes at the air could have been more effective if he managed to walk his opponent into an actual corner or against the ropes somehow.

Malik has some real potential. If he can get some better set up shots instead of throwing everything he has into every punch, it would do wonders for his cardio. If he insists on the all or nothing style, then he should focus primarily on defense until he gets to in-fighting range where his shots are bound to connect with a sprinkle of long range shots to keep his opponent focused on defense like a lengthy overhand and hard jabs to the body.

Malik like your coach said you need to work your way into Kai. You're starting off throwing a haymaker from way outside often times and that's the only punch you'll throw in the sequence. You can throw that big haymaker to "scare him" from the outside, but your feet need to travel with you while you throw some more distractions to get in close. Also work that high guard and maintain that close fight at all times. You do great when you start the round rushing him, but after it doesn't "work", then you allow him to regain his distance after your flurry is done. Fighting someone much taller than me in an unnofficial event is what made me actually train boxing now, and that's one thing I've found with fighting taller people, "never let them breathe". The last sparring clip I uploaded on my channel may be a good example of me actually doing what I'm asking you to do. Kai did an excellent job on his distance control. You'll have to get these things down if you want your next match to go in your favor.

Malik SERIOUSLY needs to work on his combinations. H needs to know his body and stop relying on the fact that he's so strong because any decently technical fighter that isn't afraid of his cinderblock hands is going to take his wins everytime. Khi did a great job in technical outpacing Malik, but honestly someone get that boy on a speedbag and multiple(2 to 3 trainers at a time) aggressive pad work. If his speed was as formidable as his composure and his jab setups, this fight would have been done in round 2-3. Great work for the both of them. Hopefully they begin picking consistent training regimes that picks up their natural flaws and potentiates their strengths. Good work gentleman.

Classic boxer versus puncher match. Ogun channeled his inner Mike Tyson, but just got outpointed this time. Rubber match?

The jab was there all day. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Nothing wrong with being aggressive, but wild hooks don't work against the jab/straight combination with orthodox philly shell stance. King was controlling majority of the fight with the jab and range. Solid fight

Very good match. Khi showing great out boxing skills. Dreads showing he has the peek a boo as his own, just need to polish. Waiting for August 26!!

It was a good decision... King Khi fought smarter and countered effectively off his opponents wild blows.

sugar ray vs mike tyson. Shoutout to Khi's corner. GREAT work. To the boxer's out there- look what you can do with timing and a solid jab. I don't see how you could judge it any other way than Khi. He one 4 rounds at least. You could give the 5th to Ogun - but it seemed pretty clear Khi was way ahead.

Dudes got the Peekaboo style down, just doesn't get extension and push forward from this back foot like he should (like Tyson did). He needs to cover about 4-6" more when he's throwing that lead hook. No real solid setup lead lefts thrown too which would've helped him when he closed the distance, multiple times that shot could've landed. Good fight regardless.

Dude was throwing some big heavy punches!! Problem is they were all blind. Power and aggression is a good way to lead a fight, look at Tyson. Be Tyson also knew how to lure and trap, that's strategy, technique. Other dude knew this and just had to keep him at bay. If he changed up his game and realized his power game wasn't working, it may have went differently. If the taller guy went in aggressive, he would have been laid out fast and he probably knew that. If one of those punches had landed it would've been lights out most definitely. Stay in the gym and learn some strategy and footwork and this dude is really someone to worry about. Great fight, the right hand was raised....

King Khi chewed at Malik fit three straight rounds. He’s such a beauty to watch. I’ll like to see him start working on the body, he’s a headhunter. Especially for the powerful guys, destroying the body will gas them faster

"King Khi" fought a lot better with full of confidence comparing with the first match. His jabs, footwork improved and gave his opponent much harder time to make contact.

Two very good fighters but Malik ogun not looking wastes a lot of punches king khi calmer but didn’t throw upper cuts ogun would have run straight into them. Two very tough fighters 😀👍

the light skinned fighter (what was his name again?) was grinning so much of the time. Seemed to be enjoying the reach and light footwork defensive advantage.
